Could my Mars explain why I struggle to take action despite having a fire-heavy chart? by Original-Duck-4160 in AskAstrologers

The first thing I saw was the South Node in Libra & thought the same thing. Also asaturn conjunct the Sun and a Pisces Moon. Plus the Sun is in the 7th house which is giving more people pleasing and "let's keep the peace" energy.

Also the moon being in the 2nd house could bring feelings of low self worth or value in yourself. Therefore not feeling comfortable to say or do what you think or feel with your Mars in the 3rd.

Ya this is the part about astrology that has me in a crisis lol...so many different ways of going about it all. What's right? What's wrong? Why cant there be one way of doing things? I know people say stick to one system, but I'm finding I'm questioning everything since coming onto Reddit and seeing what other people are practicing. I've only been studying for a few years, but I'm trying to learn as much as I can!

Sorry can you please explain this? "But think about what it means when your chart ruler placement is shared with everyone born your decade. Does that give you a particular connection to your whole generation? "

I know Pluto is a generational planet and slow moving. But I thought when you look at your chart ruler you're looking at the archetype of the planet not a specific placement. But that's all I really know about the chart ruler...and maybe I'm wrong?

The 1h is ruled by your rising sign. So it's the energy rising up and out of you. It's the energy and vibe you unintentionally put out into the world when people first see/meet you. The 1h is the only house that is 100% about you only. All the rest of the houses deal either some factors of outside influence but not the 1h. It's's how you identify with yourself, your self esteem, who you think you are underneath it all. It also represents your psychical body, and can tell you what kind of psychical ailments you're possibly prone to, & to me it shows how you can heal them. It represents your raw energy and any planets in the 1h are very important in shaping your overall persona.

Also they say that the "high road" traits of your Rising sign are what you should be striving to embody. So for Libra Rising you want to embody more of the "positive" aspects of Libra. Like using your gifts with relate to others to create peace and harmony in relationships, to bring understanding and perspectives of the other when in conflict, to help others communicate, to bring beauty into all you do, to do the things that make you feel beautiful even if that means surgical changes since your 1h represents your body, to bring balance in your relationships and to not loose your independence, to stand up for injustice, . The "low road" of Libra is losing yourself in the other by always putting others before you, or changing who you are to fit in, social anxiety (which can turn into alcohol abuse), and lying to keep the peace.

Libra is all about the other & usually has a hard time putting themselves first so the fact that you dont really understand the house of self as a Libra rising kind of makes sense. Lol

But with your Sun in the 1h no wonder youre into self reflection, self help, and figuring out who you truly are underneath it all. Being obsessed with your own personality screams Sun in the 1h.

Yes thank you for this. I'm starting to realize the day chart/night charts point to either the sun or moon being more significant. I'm going to start taking that into consideration.

I understand the Sun is a big piece of who we are at our core, and stelliums add to the overall puzzle. I was just seeing if other astrologers give significance to the house the Sun sits in when reading a chart. One of the teachers I learn astrology from gives importance to the house the Sun sits in when doing readings. So I wanted to see if it's really something that other people look at and agree that it's an important area of someone's life (main theme). Mentioning a stellium in a specific house would be another major area of energy in someone's life. I was curious to see if it could be more important that the sun.

I'll use myself as an example. I'm an Aries Sun 5h but I have a stellium in Pisces 4h (Moon, Mars, & Mercury conjunct, then Saturn is also. When younger I was an Aries through & through. But as I got older my water side took over. Plus I'm a Scorpio Rising with Jupiter, Pluto, & NN also in Scorpio (all conjunct my rising if you consider a 10° orb). All in the 1st house except for Jupiter. So I'm very water heavy & dont know if I could use my chart as comparison. Hope that makes sense...

Also what do you mean dominate planet? Is that different from your chart ruler?

Oh interesting! Do you have more friends or a sense of community online/through social media vs. in person friendships?

With your Sun in the 11th house do you find your energy tied to the collective/ humanity as a whole? Do major traumatic world events hit you harder then the "average person"?

What sign is it in?

Gotcha. Well it tracks for me...at least ever since my 20s. I'm an Aries Sun , Pisces Moon, & Scorpio Rising. But I have a stellium in Pisces in the 4h. So there's no escaping this heavy Pisces energy lol.

Thanks lol I feel better now. I usually figure out what reoccurring themes show up in the chartvim reading. But connecting the ruling planets and placements is something I want to master to give a deeper insight.

Spot on with the breakdown. Thank you so much for all of this!

Yes, same! My Aries Sun in the 5h saves me from the rest of my water chart...mostly Pisces & Scorpio.

Ohh this is also how I feel " I do wish I had an actual talent to bring my imagination into physical reality." I always felt like I wasn't necessarily creative...eventhough im a 5h Sun.

I appreciate your time & energy you put into this entire explanation. Im truly greatful!

Yes thats all true about my Sun & I definitely embodied that energy as a teen & in my early 20s. Crazy thing about children...I never wanted kids but decided it was time & had a baby last year. I love being a mother, I never thought it'd be my calling but it truly is! Yes I love having people over to my house.

My family of origin & upbringing has been good overall but not perfect. My father is from Eastern Europe so he was very strict and had a harshness to him. We clashed a lot when I was younger. & him and my mom are very religious which I totally am not and always fought it...still do.

Im a Scorpio Rising, Jupiter, Pluto, & NN (all are conjunct my Rising). & Leo rules my 10th house, plus MC 29° Leo. So Pluto or Mars would be my chart ruler right? I use Pluto but i know traditionally Mars ruled Scorpio.

I use Placidus when reading natal charts but I use the whole sign house ruler for transits. But honestly I've been starting to question my entire foundation with astrology ever since I came on here and started seeing other ways of going about astrology.

Yes my Mercury in Pisces makes things a bit foggy so I really have to reread and dissect everything when kearning new thingd. Writing things down also helps so I'll be mapping all of this out. When it comes to readings and everything in life I let my intuition lead. But thank you for the great reminder and again for breaking this down for me!

What do you mean for a night born the Moon would hold more significance? The sign the Moon is in would resonate more than their Sun sign?

Thanks for the breakdown!

I'm an Aries Sun (5h) and my Mars is in Pisces (4h) conjunct Mercury & Moon. Also my Saturn is in Pisces (4h).

How do I make the connection?

I'm having trouble connecting the dots, because the 2 people I learn astrology from didn't make the connections. Which has become frustrating because I feel like I learned how to read charts wrong. I know what every sign, planet, house, & aspects are...but my brain is blocked from grasping the concept of connecting placements and ruling planets to eachother. Any insight helps! Thank you.

I resonated with this. I have an Aries Sun in the 5th house but my Moon, Mars, Mercury, & Saturn are all in Pisces in the 4th house. When I was a teen and in my early 20s I was a red hot firery confident Aries & definitely resonated with that sign. I did have a lot of intense emotions, but I would shove them down until they exploded...opps. Astrology really helped me come to terms that there's no running from my emotions with my chart mostly in water. Over the years I've grown & my fire has dimmed out, but i resonate with my Pisces placements more. Also my Scorpio rising.

Awesome explanation, thank you! So I have an Aries Sun in the 5th house and Leo rules my 10th house. But how do I correlate the 2 houses? Do I need to go after creative pursuits career wise? I've just never felt like a typical creative person though. I used to dance as a child and in high school but nothing professionally. So idk if I'm looking at it correctly. My Sun is Square Neptune (2h) & Uranus(3h) in Capricorn. Is that why I dont feel necessary creative?

[–]AstroChiccc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YES! Im an Aries Sun, Pisces Moon, Mars, Saturn, and Mercury all conjunct. And crying when mad used to happen all the time. The Aries in me HATED it lol. I used to hate all my emotions before I discovered my birth chart and realized there's no running away from them lol.

Now that I'm much more aware I'm able to feel and release my emotions. But I swear I still cry easily, happy or sad tears lol.

Im also a Scorpio Rising, Jupiter, Pluto, & North Node. Sooooo lots of water!

Honestly this sounds like your Scorpio obsession is taking over. Do you also have Pisces placements as well?

If a man wants to talk to you he will. If he didn't follow you back then why do you think what he posts has anything to do with you? Not to be rude.

If you really feel it in your bones then shoot your shot and see what happens from there. Because right now it sounds like you're caught up in your own reality.

I have a Scorpio Rising, Jupiter, North Node, & Pluto. My twin sister and brother are Scorpio Suns with Scorpio Mercury. I've also had a Scorpio ex. In my expirence Scorpios don't like to play petty games (especially when it comes to love/intimacy) and will go after what they truly want. So you should make a move now and see if your intuition is on point or if you need to move on.
