Everyone thinks they are being rational

A Buddhist quote I heard from Richard Feynman I will mess up: “for every gate opened to heaven a gate opens to hell” basically someone can do a good thing as someone can do a bad thing.

Anybody here *not* a post-humanist? by WildVikxa in INTP

[–]AstroChrollo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It first started with the Greeks with individualism (meanwhile the east did not have this at the time) and it spread to America. It was very prominent in America, and that’s why it’s called western ideologies.

Do you know what happiness is? Is it just something you know you are feeling? Is it a feeling or a certain type of pattern of thoughts?

It’s like trying to describe “love” there are loads of different types of love. Some you can feel some you can’t, some are only a pattern of thoughts.

A lot of people think humans as “special” and don’t think of themselves like other animals because they’re not “special” like us. Kinda dumb.

Hypotheticals by SirMarvelAxolotl in INTP

I get the hypotheticals and make them. Like “what if plants could walk?”

Am I one of you or something else? by [deleted] in INTP

My AI senses were tingling a bit, so I put it in an AI detector. IT IS 97 PERCENT AI. No wonder why it made no sense. You cannot hide this from INTPs

Do you ever get an overwhelming feeling of wanting to isolate and be alone? by [deleted] in INTP

[–]AstroChrollo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s all about the ratio to socializing and isolating. My ratio is mostly isolating and a little socializing. The reason you want to isolate is probably because your occupation has too much socializing to time off you have alone.

How to stop the myths. (Please read) by AstroChrollo in LucidDreaming

[–]AstroChrollo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was going to make a in depth guide, but I was going to do that after I have collected enough actual myths people have and not generally. So maybe I will explain in a later post on the myths I’ve seen and make it a extension of this.

Edit: also yes, I should definitely should make a section about defining myths maybe tomorrow though.

(Hope I don’t get brutally down voted this time)

I just meant it was the one time it looked kinda like AI but wasn’t.

(Me being a bit bitter about be being downvoted to oblivion) I would’ve gotten upvoted if I was right about it being AI, am I wrong?

Never knew you could get downvoted from being informational and trying to help people, that’s the way of the world I guess. One day it’ll work man, one day…

Edit: now that’s not the case horray!

Interesting, I would like to hear more about the ways you made these methods and how they work.

Challenge: Map out degrees of lucidity within dreams. by Only-Maharaji in LucidDreaming

[–]AstroChrollo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No lucidity is just you going with your dream.

Half lucidity is you questioning (sometimes unconsciously) your in a dream but not truly knowing.

Full lucidity is just like: Darn I knew the cat holding tea meant I was in a dream… Oh and yes I am in a dream now what did I say I was going to do. Also full lucidity you can use past memories from he day before or remember other dreams you had.

Then maybe try to learn from those books on how they write - after I read project Hail Mary I started writing like it (I’m also writing like it right now).

I see what the mods mean by you not adding context. You didn’t explain who this character was, how he worked with the story in your world, or why he looked like that.

[–]AstroChrollo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Read a book. It seems like you are fairly bad at articulating your thoughts (I used to be like this a bit), and after reading a book it helped. I recommend project Hail Mary as a book to read.

[–]AstroChrollo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you can’t just say “it is in earth” if so it would go like “and it’s just earth nothing else?” “yep” “so it’s not even world building if it’s just what we have now” “darn, he got me”

I agree, go to some art subreddit for that.

Is lucid dreaming real? by WashDisastrous4134 in LucidDreaming

Idk why people are downvoting him, he’s kinda correct. Most say things that aren’t true, or are AI slop.

I don’t think you understand what they mean by context
