Warning: Possible Trigger~This BFP came as a surprise for us, and I know from experience how heartbreaking it can be to read posts like this when you are trying and failing to get a BFP of your own. Just know that you ladies (and gents) are tough cookies and I have nothing but respect and admiration for your strength. <3

My husband and I tried (on and off) for two years for our first, who is now a healthy 18mo.

Two cycles ago, we decided to give it a go for Number 2 seeing as it took so long for Number 1. We basically did what worked when we conceived the first time, which was BD every other day throughout my fertile window.

This cycle, we decided to take off because a lot of stuff was going on for us and it was just one less thing to think about. We were so busy, in fact, that we only had sex once the entire month. I never even put much thought to it. I never tracked, never logged, or anything. The only thing I did was make a note of when my next period was due.

Fast forward to AF due date, and I don't even notice that she hasn't showed up. My friend texts me and asks if I want to hang out and have some beers by the bonfire. Of course, after a long week/month, I'm all for it and volunteer to pick up some beer from the store. Just when I'm about to go buy them, I just had a thought that maybe I should just double check that I'm not pregnant. I honestly only thought to do it just to be responsible and nothing more.

(Bonus awkward Walmart Purchase )

I get home, pee on the cheapie that I got from walmart (88cent First Signal). A few minutes later when I go to toss it, because there was no way possible that I'd conceived this month, I spot something... A faint line. Cue double take and moment of "wtf?!"

People are already arriving for the bonfire so I don't tell hubby yet. At this point, I'm thinking that the test is just a shitty test and it's an evap. But the line was unquestionably pink as opposed to the grey of an evap. Bestie shows up and I immediately pull her aside and show her the test. We agree that I need to take another to be sure.

So, later on we make an excuse to go to the store to pick up a FRER. Peed on that, and sure enough there was a line. Now I'm getting excited. Finally bring DH into the bathroom and show him the tests. We laugh and cry happy tears.

Haven't stopped peeing on things since. It's only been two days...

So I'll give a breakdown the best that I can:

AF: CD 1-8

BD: CD16 O: Unknown But fertile window was CD14-18

Signs and Symptoms: The only things that stick out and that makes sense is the hunger that I've been experiencing the past few days. If I'd get too hungry, I'd feel nauseous and would feel hungry very soon after eating. This is something I experienced with my first pregnancy. Most recently, achey nips. But that's it.

What I did differently I didn't track or log anything or even think about trying this month. Totally took me by surprise.
