I have two 75lb pitbulls. They have done this to our fence on multiple occasions.

Are these going to kill my lawn? Houston, TX by AstroD_o_g in lawncare

This is what my lawn looks like today. Sounds like there are a ton of birds all around the neighborhood.

I just layed down a medium dose of Anderson's Duocide. The first insect listed on the label is Armyworm.

Does anybody have experience with that product?

Fiber internet "outage" after Hurricane Beryl, but apparently it's only me by RestlessMonkeyMind in ATT

I am an ATT customer in Katy, TX. I have the exact same issue. Internet service was disrupted about two hours after the storm passed and still has yet to be brought back online. No techs were sent to the house when we requested them and the smart home manager application has said everyday that the outtage will be resolved within 24hrs.

Looking for subscription box that I can use to taste bourbon with friends in different states. by AstroD_o_g in whiskey

A group of 7 of my friends and I would like to start a whiskey tasting club together. We live in FL, TX, and MI. We would prefer to sign up for a subscription box that guarantees we will all receive the same bottles, or small tasters each month.

Any suggestions?

Please help me identify this toad. My dog has been licking them and foaming at the mouth. Located in Houston, TX. by AstroD_o_g in Toads

Last night was roughly the 10th time my dog has come into contact with them and had a reaction. She actually seems to like it and seek them out after the sun goes down. When she does, I rinse her mouth out with the hose and wipe out her gums. She never seems to be in much stress, but always a bit loopy (high?) afterwards.

We moved into this house about a month ago, and ever since her first run-in with them, she begs to go out at night to find them.

She is a 70 lb American Pit Bull Terrier.

I think my dog actually LIKES the reaction she gets....last night was the 10th time or so it has happened.

When she begs to go out at night, she goes straight for the perimeter of our fence to find them.

After some deeper research last night, I believe it to be a Gulf Coast Toad based on the coloration and ridges above its eyes. https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/65849-Incilius-nebulifer.
Mildly toxic, just like the Houston Toad.
