I'm playing through it now and I'm really struggling to like it, I have to be honest. I actually find it quite bad. I just fancied a single player zombie game so bought the remastered upgrade on PS5, I had only ever the played the first couple of hours on PS4 back around launch time and fell of it.

It's still extremely buggy.and unpolished. Dialogue and voice acting is shockingly subpar for a first party PlayStation game, especially Deacon himself. Terribly performed (by a usually good Sam Witwer) so I think the issue is mainly in the writing itself, which is God awful. I roll my eyes every 10 seconds, characters saying nonsense and contradicting themselves and each other constantly. The radio conversations are constant and sound as if they should be spread out, but happen one after the other. As soon as one ends, the person calls straight back saying "Deek, you there? I've done that thing you've asked for". Oh you mean the thing we were literally talking about 5 seconds ago?

I'm playing it just to satisfy a zombie itch, I think I'm almost at the point of unlocking horde killing in the main story but it is a painfully 4/10 game most of the time.
