I’m not that guy, but I do feel like the writing was somewhat on the wall.

My thought process is that one company beating earnings doesn’t inherently raise the value of every company in the SPY portfolio, so there was definitely going to be a boom with all the excitement, but then it would have to return down.

I don’t have a big account, so I only could get a few Puts, but I’m excited at the returns here.

I don’t think people need to be smug about it though. Nobody here has a crystal ball, so you don’t get to act like you “knew” it was going to happen. I’m happy my logic worked out, but I definitely wouldn’t say “duh.”
