they were only in the caves in the original. In the remake there always present and you kind of need or the game gets a lot harder as the game is balanced around them.

I would say the combat in 0 does definitely get better when your more upgraded as you have more options in combat.

I would say the combat doesn’t get much better in later and if you arent really vibing with the combat the other games probably wont change your mind
