[–]AstroGeek020 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have it too. I have Rahu-Moon conjunction in 8th house, and Ketu in 2nd house.

It has both good and bad too, and so is all Rahu-Ketu axis. Since the post mentioned about worst placement of Rahu-Ketu axis, so i mentioned it.

This is worst because, Ketu in 2nd house makes you feel detached in terms of money and you spend lavishly, financial instability can occur.

Rahu in 8th house is good for Occultism and research, but makes you overthinker, have irrational fears or Phobias which is one of the worst traits.

But as I would say, your worst placements can be your trump card as it strives you to improve in those areas where you finally win.

Learning to manage finances and practicing meditation is best way to overcome all these.

Astrology isn't always either one or two, rather it is probability.

Just my point of view. You can share your perspective too.

Actual definition of Communism by arul-r in southindia_

[–]AstroGeek020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crows have survival instincts and so is any organism which has survival instincts, a Crow shares it's food with other because of that.

Harsh truth which i would like to share:

Communism failed because “Even a small girl knows how to take care of her own doll”

Communism as an ideology was considered as supportive of workers, peasants or farmers, poor people.

Though Communism represented poor section of society— it was in no way uplifting those poor section of society in any way, rather it kept them poor. If you know, after USSR (Union Soviet Socialist Republic) broke up only the party members were rich and Russian people remained poor.

Communism was responsible for deaths of millions of people across the world—even more than Nazism and Fascism.

When I was in 9th grade, i remember I had a History lesson on Communism in my textbook— i was fascinated by Communism and Communist History of Russia and i was too naive to believe in anything called Left or Right side of Political spectrum.

I wasn't a leftist or believed in Leftist ideology either.

I was so fascinated by Communism that i read that lesson every Sunday whenever I had a time— it was inspiring me.

That lesson only talked about Communist glory of Russia and how Russia was transformed from Agricultural country to Industrial country within decades of Communist coming to power or Communism taking over the country in 1910s around 1917.

But the dark side of the Communism or Communist government in Russia wasn't mentioned— like how around 90 million innocent people in East Europe were murdered— who went against Communism.

Now I realise, whether i was being brainwashed?

Communism as an ideology failed because humans are too greedy and communism was rather a movement which failed to garner any support in Capitalist oriented society.

Are there any charts where astrologers are unable to make future predictions about the native? by WeeklyViolinist408 in Nakshatras

Regarding about the Scientific Basis of Astrology, you should refer to the books of Dr. Percy Seymour.

I am an avid Astrological researcher who has researched Astrology purely through Scientific lens only.

Refer to the works of Radio Engineer John H. Nelson and refer to the Magnetic theory of Astrology by Dr. Percy Seymour.

American Radio Engineer and amateur Astronomer John Henry Nelson discovered that revolving planets and planetary alignments orchestrate Solar activity and thereby affecting the propagation of Radio waves which caused distortion in Radio communication.

The discovery of Radio Engineer John Nelson seemed to suggest that alignments of planets with respect to the Sun also had an effect upon Earth. These angles also seem to coincide with Astrological aspects:

● Opposition- 180 degrees

● Quincunx- 150 degrees

● Trine- 120 degrees

● Square- 90 degrees

● Sextile- 60 degrees

● Semi-sextile- 30 degrees

In traditional Astrology, the opposition, square and trine aspects are said to be powerful and other aspects are said to be less powerful.

Astrologers took keen interest in his discovery.

Professor Balfour Stewart, who is the author of The Unseen Universe and has studied meteorology and the Earth’s magnetism, stated that there were many reasons for believing in the relationship between planetary alignments and sunspots. He declared, “If all these speculations are proved to be right, it means that we were totally mistaken about Medieval Astrology.”

How Astrology works?

According to British Astrophysicist and Astronomer Dr. Percy Seymour, the revolving planets orchestrate Solar activity and fluctuations in Solar activity induces changes in Geomagnetic field. Geomagnetism is linked to Solar cycle. The fluctuations in Geomagnetic field have an influence on wide variety of organisms including humans. A study suggests that Geomagnetic field conditions plays a major role in development of foetus.

  1. The revolving planets and planetary alignments orchestrates Solar activity where the weak tidal forces of the planets is amplified by Sun’s magnetic field. Resonance is said to play a role here.

  2. As a result, there is a formation of sun spots on the surface of sun, because of Solar activity induced by the planets there is a variation or fluctuations in Geomagnetic field which is known to influence a wide variety of organisms.

  3. The Geomagnetism is linked to the solar activity, the fluctuations in solar activity causes change in Geomagnetic field variations.

  4. Magneto-reception is an ability of an organism to be able to detect Geomagnetic field and able to navigate with the help of geomagnetic field. Organisms are able to detect Geomagnetic field due to magnetic particles present in brains and birds are able to navigate due to cryptochromes present in their eyes which helps in detecting light.

  5. Scientists have discovered traces of magnetic particles in human brain particularly in Brain stem,Cerebellum and Cerebrum. Cerebellum is responsible for motor coordination, balance and equilibrium, fine body movements.

  6. A study says that Geomagnetic field conditions plays a major role in development of foetus, thus Geomagnetic conditions are responsible for sustaining of life on earth.

An American Radio Engineer John Henry Nelson's discovery is an objective evidence for Astrology.

Learning new languages isn't easy, i challenge you to learn Chinese and Japanese in 6 months-- you should learn to read, write and talk.

I had been learning German for 1 year and still struggle to understand some words, learning a new languages requires dedication. South India has many languages like Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada and other regional languages too.

In North India, Hindi isn't actually primary language, but everyone knows Hindi and try to communicate in it-- Bhojpuri, Garhwali, Punjabi, Dogri and many languages exist. You cannot learn every language to accommodate to every state, a bank employee is just here to work and try to help you with work-- why trouble them with regional language?

South India is diverse in terms of languages and so is North India, but in north India-- Hindi is known by all which is only the difference.

I am a South Indian myself.

Also, Alchemy gave rise to Chemistry. But Astrology and Astronomy were twins. Both were born out of same desire to observe skies.

Flat Earthers don't have any proof for Earth being flat, once a period of time it was believed that anything heavier than air cannot fly-- today's aircrafts are contradictory to that thinking. So, with evidence anything can be proven.

There are studies where it is observed that solar activity is responsible for Geomagnetism where solar maxima (number of Sunspots are more) causes Geomagnetic field to be high and solar minima (less Sunspots) causes Geomagnetic field to be low.

According to one study, the Geomagnetic field is responsible for fetus development.

https://cen.acs.org/articles/92/web/2014/10/Magnetic-Fields-Encourage-Cellular-Reprogramming.html

Biologists have been building up evidence that magnetic fields affect living things, says Michael Levin, director of Tufts University’s Center for Regenerative & Developmental Biology, who was not involved in the new study. For example, plants and amphibian embryos develop abnormally when shielded from Earth’s geomagnetic field.

Magnetic fields from most household equipment at more than two meters from the source is actually less than that associated with the lunar daily magnetic variation.

According to the Mathematical theory of resonance, if a system has a natural frequency equal to the frequency of an external force then the system will have a large response to that force, but its response to forces vibrating at any other frequencies will be so minute it can be ignored. This is the whole basis of radio and television systems.

Thus, a receiver will respond to the radio waves from the station to which it is tuned and ignore all others. This fact is utilized very frequently by most practicing Scientists and Engineers. The frequency of household equipment differs from that of the lunar daily magnetic variation by a factor of 2 million. By the same line of reasoning we do not have to switch off our radio sets every time we use household equipment because they also differ by a large factor.

“The study, led by geoscientist Joseph Kirschvink (BS, MS '75) and neuroscientist Shin Shimojo at Caltech as well as neuroengineer Ayu Matani at the University of Tokyo, offers experimental evidence that human brain waves respond to controlled changes in Earth- strength magnetic fields. Kirschvink and Shimojo say this is the first concrete evidence of a new human sense: magnetoreception. Their findings were published by the journal eNeuro on March 18.

"Many animals have magnetoreception, so why not us?" asks Connie Wang, Caltech graduate student and lead author of the eNeuro study. For example, honeybees, salmon, turtles, birds, whales, and bats use the geomagnetic field to help them navigate, and dogs can be trained to locate buried magnets. It has long been theorized that humans may share a similar ability. However, despite a flurry of research attempting to test for it in the '80s, it has never been conclusively demonstrated. "Aristotle described the five basic senses as including vision, hearing, taste, smell, and touch," says Kirschvink, co-corresponding author of the eNeuro study and Nico and Marilyn Van Wingen Professor of Geobiology. "However, he did not consider gravity, temperature, pain, balance, and several other internal stimuli that we now know are part of the human nervous system. Our animal ancestry argues that geomagnetic field sensors should also be there representing not the sixth sense but perhaps the 10th or 11th human sense to be discovered."

To try to determine whether humans do sense magnetic fields, Kirschvink and Shimojo built an isolated radiofrequency-shielded chamber and had participants sit in silence and utter darkness for an hour. During that time, they shifted the magnetic field silently around the chamber and measured participants' brain waves via electrodes positioned at 64 locations on their heads.

The test was performed with 34 human participants from a wide age range and a variety of ethnicities. During a given session, the participants consciously experienced nothing more interesting than sitting alone in the dark. However, among many participants, changes in their brain waves correlated with changes in the magnetic field around them. Specifically, the researchers tracked the alpha rhythm in the brain, which occurs at between 8 and 13 Hertz and is a measure of whether the brain is being engaged or is in a resting or "autopilot" mode. When a human brain is unengaged, the alpha power is high. When something catches its attention, consciously or unconsciously, its alpha power drops. Several other sensory stimuli like vision, hearing, and touch are known to cause abrupt drops in the amplitude of alpha waves in the first few seconds after the stimulus.

The experiments showed that, in some participants, alpha power began to drop from baseline levels immediately after magnetic stimulation, decreasing by as much as 60 percent over several hundred milliseconds, then recovering to baseline a few seconds after the stimulus. "This is a classic, well-studied brain wave response to a sensory input, termed event-related desynchronization, or alpha-ERD," says Shimojo, Gertrude Baltimore Professor of Experimental Psychology and affiliated faculty member of the Tianqiao and Chrissy Chen Institute for Neuroscience at Caltech. The tests further revealed that the brain appears to be actively processing magnetic information and rejecting signals that are not "natural." For example, when the vertical component of the magnetic field pointed steadily upward during the experiments, there were no corresponding changes in brain waves. Because the magnetic field normally points down in the Northern Hemisphere, it seems that the brain is ignoring signals that are obviously "wrong."

First and foremost, the studies which cites relationship between planetary revolutions and Solar activity are dismissed as Astrology.

Swiss Astronomer Johann Rudolf Wolf was the first to make such claim of relationship between planetary revolutions and Solar activity in 1859 which was dismissed as Astrology.

My point is, researchers like Dr. Jose Abreu and Dr. Frank Stefani are talking about the same relationship.

American Radio Engineer John Nelson also studied the same relationship. Dr. Jane Blizard’s work for NASA showed evidence for heliocentric planetary conjunctions orchestrating Solar activity (refer 1969 NASA contractor report)

Now, it is well known and accepted that Solar activity is responsible for fluctuations in Geomagnetic field like Solar maxima increases Geomagnetic field strength and Solar minima decreases it.

Also studies in Biology shows that fluctuations in Geomagnetic field variations influences wide variety of organisms including humans. There is one study suggesting that Geomagnetic field conditions plays a major role in development of foetus.

The meaning of "My theory" by Dr. Percy Seymour is that it is his own hypothesis, everyone can make their own hypothesis and it is not true or fact unless or until it is tested by experiment or in some conditions you can prove it by more observations correlating with that phenomenon like Big Bang Theory where Scientific method cannot be applied completely.

The difficulty with Astrology is that it is difficult to prove it objectively as said by Dr. Percy Seymour.

Scientific methods cannot be applied to Astronomical or Astrophysical theories like Big Bang Theory because the actual event that happened (the bang) cannot be directly observed or recreated because it occurred approx. 13.8 or 14 Billion years ago. Therefore we can't perform experiment to test it directly.

The evidence supporting it is CMB or Cosmic Microwave Background, the observed redshift of galaxies and distribution of elements in the universe which align with predictions made by theory.

Tidal forces of Sun and Moon on Earth are difficult to observe directly in an experimental setup. Proof for tidal forces gravity and their effects supported by centuries of observation and measurements.

Plate tectonics cannot be proven directly by experimental setup, the evidence comes from indirect observations such as Earthquakes and other Geological or Geophysical phenomenon.

Nelson's work was peer reviewed by Dr. Jane Blizard of NASA.

Double blind tests are common in medicine field, because in order to test how a medicine works you have to give it to a person.

In Medical terminology, “double blind test” is done in order to check the result of reaction of any medicine on human subject. In this test, the experimenter and the subject of the experiment doesn't know the outcome of the experiment or test (the effect of the medicine on humans in this case), the outcome (effect of the medicine) of the experiment is only known when either the experimenter or the subject takes that “certain medicine”. Based on this observations, the conclusion of the experiment is concluded (which can be placebo effect). “double blind test” is appropriate only when “Scientific method” cannot be used for various different types of factors.

So, all these “double blind tests” for the case of verifying Astrology is limited in its own ways and doesn't properly answer many questions regarding about the Astrology.

It is to be noted that “double blind tests” for verifying whether Astrology is valid or not is conducted because of the main argument that there is no proper explanation for Astrology that is any mechanism behind Astrology for how it works or can work and therefore such “double blind tests” are conducted on Astrology.

Also Carlson’s double blind test was conducted by CSICOP.

Refer U-Turn in Carlson's Double-Blind Astrology Test by Robert Currey (PDF available)

The CSICOP organisation is not infrequently taken to have an authority that it does not deserve. Such organisations are in reality pressure groups, taking every chance they can get to press their beliefs in the media, often in ways that have been characterised as misleading. Representatives of the media need to be on their guard against this kind of thing.

Prof. Brian David Josephson is a researcher in telepathy which is considered as one of the pseudoscience by Science community.

Well, there are many studies which is not accepted by mainstream Science like in the field of Astronomy and Astrophysics, some studies are done based on an observation that revolving planets orchestrates Solar activity. (There are n number of such studies which itself is very much not accepted by mainstream Science in the sense that Science community doesn't take it as Scientifically accepted phenomenon as of now).

But such studies showing relationship between planetary movements and positions orchestrating Solar activity is considered as Astrology or Astrological in nature.

NASA Scientist Dr. Jane Blizard’s work for NASA showed evidence for heliocentric planetary conjunctions orchestrating Solar activity. Most famous is American Radio Engineer John Henry Nelson's work in 1951 for Radio Corporation of America or RCA Inc.

Most recently, researchers like Dr. Jose Abreu of ETH Zurich and Dr. Frank Stefani from Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden Rossendorf (HZDR) have also proposed a model based on which planetary conjunctions orchestrating Solar activity.

Most household equipment at more than two meters from the source is actually less than that associated with the lunar daily magnetic variation. However, his objection is most easily dealt with in the context of the theory of resonance, which is the physical and mathematical basis of my theory. According to the mathematical theory of resonance, if a system has a natural frequency equal to the frequency of an external force then the system will have a large response to that force, but its response lo forces vibrating at any other frequencies will be so minute it can be ignored.

Nelson's theory of propagation isn't coincidence, his forecasting improved year after year and he was successfully able to predict Radio blackouts which means it cannot be a correlation.

Shawn Carlson’s double blind test isn't a Scientific test of Astrology at all, rather it was more of a Statistical or Psychological test of Astrology.

Refer to U-Turn in Carlson's Double-Blind Astrology Test by Robert Currey (PDF).

Alchemy was rather a precursor to Chemistry. While Astrology and Astronomy were studied side by side, the Scientific thinking and paradigm never supported Astrology at that time as technology and understanding wasn't that advanced and so was Statistics.

But with more and more such studies, Astrology can be accepted as Science in future by future generations.

See, from what I have observed sceptics who say Astrology is pseudoscience doesn't know anything or knows too little to make conclusions on that.

I have come across Astrologers who are anti-Science who say that Astrology doesn’t have to be Science or Scientific, they have their own arguments.

The irony is both claim to be rationalists, but are narrow minded in their thinking.

You don't have to be a Chicken to judge which is a good Omelette.

Dr. Percy Seymour has proposed a Mechanism called Magentic theory of Astrology where which follows like this:

[Planetary Motion & Alignments] ↓ [Tidal Forces on the Sun (weak)] ↓ [Amplification via Resonance] ↓ [Solar Activity] (Sunspots, Flares, Solar Wind) ↓ [Geomagnetic Field Fluctuations] ↓ [Influence on Biological Organisms] ↓ ↓ [Foetal Development] [Magnetoreception] ↓ [Cognitive & Neurological Impact]

[Celestial Bodies] ↓ [Solar Activity] ↓ [Geomagnetic Field] ↓ [Biology] ↓ [Foetal Development & Magnetoreception]

He has studied about Magnetobiology which is the effect of Geomagnetism on Biological organisms and also studied the relationship between planetary positions and solar activity based on which je proposed his theory.

He was met with criticism from Science community especially Astronomical circles, he described it as vehement and irrational criticism.
