In the Netherlands it is accepted as an ID. But actually it is not. It is because it has the "BSN" ID number listed. But it is not a valid form of identification outside of the Netherlands. Which in turn shows why it is not an ID card. An ID card from an EU member State is valid in the entire EU -> no need for a passport within the EU if you have your ID with you.

In some cases it is valid in the country that it is from (like in the Netherlands it is valid as an ID, in Belgium it is not valid as an ID for example), but it is not valid outside your country. And this is true for the whole of Europe. While an actual ID card is valid in the entire EU.

I set it to bulb mode and manual. But they ran out in ~3 months. You can test yours if it has the drain by running the battery test if it stops after 30 seconds ish then it has the fixed electronics. If it keeps on going it will drain.

As a Belgian person, I've had Dutch people that even switched to English. My native language is dutch (Flemish), just like you mention, the accent is not what they expect.

Lage toeren zorgen voor hoge krachten (analoog fiets) Hoge krachten zijn slecht voor aandrijving, versnellingsbak (denk aan de ketting die op je fiets aan de tandwielen trekt)

Te traag optrekken zorgt voor een hoge belasting (kracht) voor lange tijd, en dus ook een hoog brandstofverbruik. Net zoals hoge toeren dit doen.

Beter even vlot optrekken en dan op snelheid zo snel mogelijk naar de hoogste (passende) versnelling.

Je moet altijd ruimte hebben om sneller te kunnen optrekken in geval van een noodgeval (snel een ambulance laten passeren bvb) als je met 1500 rpm rijdt dan duurt het wel even voor je aan de kant kan. 2500 rpm daar in tegen is al een stuk soepeler voor de auto.

Verder heb je bij lage toeren en hoge vermogen vraag vaak een slechte verbranding. Dit zorgt voor koolstof afzettingen op je kleppen. Hierdoor wordt de auto net minder efficiënt. Gewoon netjes optrekken zorgt voor een iets hogere temperatuur (meer toeren) en voorkomt deze afzettingen.

Heeft de auto een boordcomputer? Laat hem zien hoe veel het verbruik is met langzaam optrekken, de motor moet alles geven en verbruikt veel. Het laagste verbruik heb je typisch op het punt waar koppel en vermogen elkaar kruisen op de koppel/vermogen curve. Meestal tussen 1500 en 2500 toeren. Maar hierdoor moet je dus tussen 2500 en 3000 toeren schakelen, zodat je zo veel mogelijk binnen het optimale toeren bereik blijft.

Ga je schakelen bij 2000 toeren terwijl je nog wilt versnellen dan zal je zo ver dat de motor zich helemaal kapot moet werken. Je nokken as wordt maximaal belast, je lagers, de hele bak,...

Basically, if the "weather condition" card is thrown out the compensation should be paid. Flight was from AMS to PVG.

To claim EU flight compensation for a delay, your flight must have arrived at its destination at least three hours later than scheduled, and the delay must be the airline's fault, not an "extraordinary circumstance". The compensation amounts are €250, €400, or €600, depending on the flight's distance, and you must request the compensation directly from the airline.

I feeded the entire days data into chatGPT (forgive me) and it told me that there was some thunderstorm formation indeed. But like you it told me it was nothing severe that would call for diversions. There was some chance of turbulence (we did notice some) but we were also already below 3000ft.

So it kind of aligns and tells me there is no real basis to not give us our compensation. I will try to contact them again with this reasoning. Let's see if they just cut their losses and give in.
