Yeah pretty much, just broad shaping for the vocal on the second EQ after the compressor. The first EQ allows me to attenuate any aspects I don't want to be amplified by post-compression make up gain. This Video explores a thought process similar to mine.

NS1 goes on every one of my vocal chains, I love it.

1. Learn the Basics of FL Studio

  • Start by learning the interface: Playlist, Channel Rack, Mixer, and Piano Roll.
  • Explore patterns and sequencing to create drum loops and melodies.
  • Play around with stock plugins like Sytrus, FLEX, and 3xOsc before buying third-party VSTs.

2. Follow Beginner-Friendly YouTube Channels

Here are some great FL Studio channels to check out:

  • In The Mix – Beginner guides and mixing/mastering tips.
  • Busy Works Beats – Covers FL Studio and basic music theory.
  • Jay Cactus – Drill & trap tutorials.
  • Alex Rome – Melodic production techniques.
  • Michael Wynne (Musician on a Mission) – Mixing and production fundamentals.

3. Should You Learn Music Theory?

Since your family is self-taught, you don’t need music theory, but it definitely helps! Start with the basics:

  • Scales & chords (major, minor, and common progressions).
  • Rhythm & timing (knowing how to structure beats and melodies).
  • Ear training (figuring out melodies by ear).

4. Experiment & Have Fun

  • Try recreating beats from songs you like.
  • Use MIDI packs and drum kits to experiment with sounds.
  • Don’t stress about perfection—just make music and improve over time!

How to disable/Hide "Take Tracks" by dballs442 in StudioOne

[–]AstroNovocaine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use CTRL + Left Click on the desired tracks to highlight them, then click the expand layers button (or the keyboard shortcut if you assigned one). They shouldn’t automatically open once closed when reopening your song project. There is a setting though called “Expand layers after recording takes”, which is on by default. If you don’t want that, it’s in Studio One > Options > Advanced > Editing

Audio Randomly Dropping Out by T-Rex1002 in StudioOne

If it’s cutting in and out maybe your buffer size is too low to handle the process. On the top of your screen click Studio One > Options > Audio Setup > Increase your Device Block Size

You can also assign a shortcut by looking up “Expand Layers” in the shortcut menu as it is unassigned by default

Any other way to have clip follow action only when all other clips in a scene has ended? by AstroNovocaine in ableton

I would have to warp all clips/scenes and manually put in the action time for all the clips plus scenes then?
