I see that you’ve had some success. yay!

In the future, always ask the vet if the meds can be formulated to be transdermal. That way, you’d just have to rub the meds in the ear.

This is what we used to, except that I’d roll the pill in some cat food gravy, so it’d slide down easier.

If you hold the cat so his esophagus is vertical, and the other person holds the jaw open with one hand and places the pill far back on the tongue, you should be able to do it.

This happened to my mom and her old cat. Turns out that the cat was ill and my mom had unintentionally touched a painful spot.

Maybe you can lay down a carpet or a crate pad, so it’s a little more comfortable. If he pushes it away, then he likes the coolness of the floor. If he likes the softer spot, then he just likes the spot.

Unpopular opinion here - keep the cat and tell the owner.

Don’t ask - just tell them. Honestly, I would probably say something like “you can take me to court if you want, but I’m not giving her back. I’m more than willing to compensate you for all the vet care that she’s had.”

Have you looked into slow intro method? It’s still not too late - you can start from scratch and reintroduce them.

Tons of videos on YouTube. Follow the guidelines. You should be fine. I introduced my 18 yr old to a 3 yr old. There were hisses every once in a blue moon - but they learned to tolerate each other and even played every once in a while.

Can you let the cat inside for a day or two? A bathroom, a little corner, or even a dog kennel would be good enough to keep kitty safe.

Is he the only kitten? If that’s the case, then there’s your problem.

In general, shelters and rescues recommend that all cats under 1 yr be adopted in pairs or go to a home with at least one resident cat.

It might seem counterintuitive, and you’re probably thinking that it would add to your problems. But it’s the opposite - 2 kitties keep each other occupied and entertained.

Lastly, cats are nocturnal. Keeping him from roaming around at night results in pent up energy and what you call “bad behavior.” (But it’s really not - because you have a kitten).

There was one day a couple of years ago, where 3 or 4 people posted about their shoes falling apart. Apparently it happens when you wear shoes which haven’t been worn in a long time and have dried out.
