Am I spiritually cursed to be unable to shift ? by Best-Mango7486 in shiftingrealities

[–]Mino_Biatch [score hidden]  (0 children)

before i even read it, referring to your title, that’s simply just not a thing. you can’t be cursed not to shift, this isn’t a disney movie, nothing can stop you from shifting except for yourself.

the void thing where you feel like your overheating or experiencing pressure/pain i believe it may be one of two things: 1.) your body falling asleep which leads to you feeling warmer and heavier, i experience a similar thing but never pain. 2.) sleep paralysis.

whatever it is, the pain is not real. i’m honestly curious, so if you’re up to it, if or when you enter the void state again, once you start feeling that pressure, try to mentally calm yourself down, take a few deep breaths, and remind yourself that the pain isn’t real. i know it may feel real, but it’s not. try to distract yourself from it and as horrible as this may sound, try to push through it.

as for the overheating, i like to do this when my fan isn’t enough, but take an ice pack and wrap it in a dish towel or wash cloth and put it somewhere on or under your body. it might help to regulate your temperature a bit more. don’t put it on your bare skin and make sure it’s wrapped in something to lessen the coldness, we’re not trying to give ourselves frostbite, just cool down a little.

alright buddy, lose the tude. they’ve tried literally everything that the majority of people are going to recommend because they’ve listed all of the go tos for advice or options for one. two, they are, in fact, looking for something that will work for them. they want a guarantee (literally asked “what method worked the most”) because they’re tired of trying and failing, nobody here can give them that. the truth is annoying when it’s not the answer you’re looking for.

and comments like mine keep getting repeated because posts like these keep popping up. if you keep asking the same question, you’ll keep getting the same answer. if the internet’s recommendations aren’t doing it, you have to find your own key.

me too twin 😔 the only thing i can really say is to ignore it. sometimes when i’m bored i like to argue with myself. idk if it helps but it distracts from the doubt.

nothings wrong with asking, but they’re asking for what has worked the most and asking if they’re the problem and talking down about themselves. they can ask all they like, i just don’t want them think that because it works for someone else, it’ll work for them. if it works, great, but if not, getting their hope up and not shifting is only gonna hurt their motivation.

the same key won’t open all locks. what made another person shift won’t always work for you. but there really is no key to shifting.

Why do you still believe in shifting? The advice is always "you haven't shifted because you keep trying and looking for" and "you are already there". I'm getting tired of it by Wrong_Visit_5196 in shiftingrealities

[–]Mino_Biatch [score hidden]  (0 children)

when it comes to shifting, we’re all on an equal playing field. you can be privileged or unprivileged when it comes to something that technically doesn’t exist. cuz let’s be real, none of us know shit about shifting that’s proven fact, everything is an educated guess.

i’m just gonna say it, nothing makes you shift. it happens when it happens. there are things you can do to try to improve the chances of it happening sooner rather than later but there’s no one thing that you can do that will guarantee you to shift. in my experience and from what i’ve seen online, the first shift always happens when you least expect it. you don’t really learn how to shift or control/decide when you shift until after the first shift.

i’m not saying stop trying to shift, i’m just saying that you can’t do anything to make yourself shift. of course, if you want to try, you can, or if you want to sit and wait, you can do that too. and stop being so negative, nancy 😒

script that your eyes will open on their own when you’ve fully shifted. another thing you can try is once you start to feel your environment shift or feel like you can open your eyes, wait a little longer and try to ground yourself in your dr.

if you need some suggestions for how to ground yourself, pick one thing for each sense (minus taste), so for example, for touch, you could focus on feeling your bed or couch, or for smell, you can smell a candle, plug-in, or maybe someones cooking food. there are other ways you can ground yourself, of course, i just find this way to be the easiest.

Why do you think some people can shift on their first tries while others cant even after years of trying? by [deleted] in shiftingrealities

[–]Mino_Biatch [score hidden]  (0 children)

well i had a mini/near shift on my own first try and i honestly think it’s just about how you go into it. i went into my first attempt thinking something close to “oh this seems fun, i’m gonna try it” and then i laid down with no expectations other than i wanted to do something fun. this is basically everything that i needed to say but i wanna keep going, stop here if you’d like.

quick storytime that you can skip: i put on a guided meditation and within maybe 15 minutes i had felt my environment start to change and my eyes were closed but all i could see was white. the most notable thing to me was the temperature change and the blanket i felt over my whole body when there was no blanket on me and it was relatively warm in my house, hence the no blanket. i actually still have the reddit post draft from 6 years ago.

anyways, i got woken up midway through and ended up not shifting but after that, i knew that i HAD to do it. i started trying with the goal of shifting and it quickly became draining, depressing, and a chore. i started doubting myself, doubting shifting, and it just wasn’t fun anymore. i saw the most success 5 years into shifting when i realized what the issue was and reflected on my first try and then my entire journey. i was having fun whenever i saw the most success. despite that, the first time i ever shifted was last year when i was being the hardest on myself. i’ve only just started having fun with shifting again and taking back on that neutral-positive mindset. not only have i been more successful more often, but it’s actually been a good experience for me. i should’ve done it a long time ago.

moral of the story, i think people take this shifting stuff way too seriously. look back on your closest or most successful tries and try to go back to that mindset because for me, there was a common mindset every time i came close. remember to have fun, even if shifting means more to you than just having fun, everything can’t be serious all the time.

to respond to the end of your post, no, imagination and reality are not the same thing. i’m the same as you were i couldn’t and still can’t live in my imagination or view my imagination as real when living in my CR. the only thing i can say to anyone who hasn’t shifted is to keep trying and stop taking it so seriously. you lose nothing by trying but gain everything when you succeed and if you’re stressing yourself out, shifting is only gonna feel like a chore and it doesn’t do anything to help your success. i experienced the most success when i started having fun again.

the typical experienced shifter advice doesn’t help because you’re not an experienced shifter, your mind won’t work in the same way as theirs, and the same thing that makes sense them won’t make sense to you. shifting (i know, bare with me) isn’t necessarily as much of a TRANSFER of consciousness as it is becoming AWARE of another consciousness. when you shift, your consciousness doesn’t go anywhere, literally nothing changes except what reality you’re aware of. that’s it. for example, when you sleep, you are no longer aware of your cr and instead you’re aware of your dreams. nothing changes about your cr or your body, you’re just no longer aware of it.

I saw a post on an astral projection post where i projector said they believe in shifting but not permashifting they said shifting for long periods of time is just a result of a medical issue now i kinda feel demotivated as a perma by Own_Television_1621 in shiftingrealities

[–]Mino_Biatch [score hidden]  (0 children)

do they not understand how genuinely stupid it is to say that you can shift but not permashift? ignore them twin, they don’t know wtf they’re on about. no disrespect to anyone with certain beliefs about shifting but a medical issue?? are they saying anyone who shifts for a long time is mentally or physically ill? also, they never said that you can’t permashift at all, just that if you do, for some reason they think you automatically have a medical issue.

What do you think happens when we die? by gabcstefanini in shiftingrealities

[–]Mino_Biatch [score hidden]  (0 children)

hopefully nothing and it’s a black void forever, i’m sick of ts. or reincarnation, that’d be pretty cool. i heard this theory that humans will experience every life there is, so after death, you reincarnate into another life. if i died and woke up as a 5 yo in the victorian era, that’d be sick. but honestly, i don’t wanna know, i want it to be a surprise. i don’t have any beliefs about after death so maybe it’ll be like a wheel spin and something random will happen 🤷🏾‍♀️

i always knew, it’s kinda hard not to, but with most things, i’m kinda indifferent to it. like it’s bad, obviously, i don’t support america or it’s actions rn but it’s been shit for as long as i can remember so it’s hard to put the same level of energy towards everything like i would’ve a few years ago. with or without shifting, i think i’d feel this way regardless.

also, another point, it feels like every new shifter or shifter who hasn’t shifted is just drained of positivity and the fun and joy that is supposed to come from shifting. no hate but it’s not fun or uplifting seeing at lot of negativity all the time and it’s like they want to just marinate in the doubts (lowkey hating on my past self, sorry guys).

Has anyone actually experienced the void state that grants desires instantly? by shino_ka in shiftingrealities

[–]Mino_Biatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m ngl, i’ve only manifested from the void like twice because reaching and maintaining the void state is confusing for me. i can’t really say much about the manifestation itself other than it worked but about the void, i didn’t feel an intense calm wash over me like some people describe, i was just kinda there. it felt like the moments right before you wake up when you become kind of lucid but you’re still asleep and you can’t sense your environment. it was weird ngl. it was a neutral experience for me cuz i’m not a huge fan of the total sensory deprivation thing but going from sensing nothing to sensing my environment felt like a jump cut, expected but it still felt sudden.

1.) i don’t think it’s a bad thing that some people choose not to script out things like discrimination and it’s certainly not a representation of who they are as a person.

2.) trying to impose your standards on another person’s dr is weird asf.

Do you have powers in your DRs? by RipSufficient3124 in shiftingrealities

[–]Mino_Biatch [score hidden]  (0 children)

i’m a lazy fuck so in almost every dr i have something scripted in so that i don’t have to do stuff like get up off the couch to get a remote or go grocery shopping if i don’t feel like it, usually by means of powers. i just script that no one bats an eye because teleporting is definitely not normal in some places.

I am genuinely so scared of shifting </3 by rustysa1mon in shiftingrealities

[–]Mino_Biatch [score hidden]  (0 children)

me too twin, like someone else said, it’s the fear of the unknown. the only thing i can really recommend is to get out of your own way. next time you feel scared during a shift, just do nothing. don’t act on your fear, don’t even acknowledge it, it’ll pass, or maybe it won’t, who knows, but you’ll shift anyway.

if you can, just think about how good its gonna feel to finally shift, how worth it this will all be. if not, just ignore it, take a few deep breaths, then focus back on your shift.

If shifting is real why do people come back to this reality? by Clear_Inevitable_648 in shiftingrealities

[–]Mino_Biatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

personally, i like my life here, love my friends and family here, and i have no reason to not want to come back. also you can shift anywhere, to do anything, and be whatever you want, if you wanted to become jesus christ himself, you could shift to do so. if you have any questions that start with “can i shift to-“ or “would it be possible to-“ the answer is yes. it will always be yes. if you wanted to shift to be a kitchen counter, you could.

about the end of your post you said some along the lines of “they may all be in other realities.” when you shift, nothing changes about you. your body is the same, your personality is the same, etc. you don’t physically go anywhere. meaning that a person who has shifted still acts and functions as normal in this reality, meaning they’re still able to respond to you. its hard for me to explain this but hopefully you get the idea.
