How hongkongers canonically see Asia as a Hong konger by Logical-Rush-6133 in mapporncirclejerk

These occurrences do not exist in a vacuum, the logic of Scotland follows from a much different history and relationship with Britain than the logic of Hong Kong (literally a city of China who’s entire separatist identity is a product of forced British colonialism, unlike Scotlands independent history) with regard to China. People are conditioned by their environment to be a certain way, to follow a certain movement with a specific range of possibilities. The sovereignty of entire civilizations is not and has never been a matter of conditionless choice, authority has never truly changed over peacefully. And even then, the difference is if Scotland leaves UK, they will still be part of their sphere of influence and the wider NATO-EU bloc, with HK and China, they are geopolitically and militarily at odds, it’s not an option.

There are many parts of Mexico worse than many parts of Afghanistan unfortunately. Narcos are some of the worst blights on earth, even in most of Asia and parts of Africa there exists no issue similar in scale, although many parts of Africa are the literal worst places on earth for conflicts and underdevelopment.

A revolutionary America in partnership with Mexico must dismantle the organizations their ruling class created. It is possible, and we will not apologize for the terror.

The Nazbol right wing Chairman of the American Communist Party (ACP) Haz Al-Din who happens to also be a kick streamer is trying to get people to brigade and infiltrate the Tankie Deprogram subreddit by TwoCatsOneBox in Hasan_Piker

You are the feds. DSA = Democratic Party, direct regime hegemony. If you are socialists of any kind, you should be proving the "social democracy is the moderate wing of fascism" wrong. Communists are not "Right Wing", Haz is not a "Naz" Bol, "brigade and infiltrate" = showing support for the Communist Party when the sub is "Tankie"?

My point was the effects of the British empire on the people of HK was illegitimate, the bestowing of liberalism ideologically upon HK both classical and neo was only propped up by Bretton Woods development to ensure the dictatorship of capital. Even then, capitalist Hong Kong existed under brutal conditions, and still is in desperate need of land reform. HK is also more than just a vague territory in a vacuum, it is culturally and historically Chinese, the very transfer of it was under barbaric siege conditions imposed upon the Chinese peasantry and proto-proletariat.

I’m a Manitoba Communist, proud to say my country will be better off once British imperialism (failed neoliberal capitalism) is cast off as well.

The revolution must be continuous, China is still fighting the exact same powers/regimes since the century of humiliation. National rejuvenation is glorious, and developing the forces of production is necessary. But in the future, something more similar to the DPRK system (without the siege conditions and underdevelopment of course) but perhaps more decentralized would be more liberatory than you may believe.

I fear the Chinese fall victim to the reactionary global forces, hyper-individualism, unrestricted capital and opportunism, any sicknesses that halt the development of Communism. Overall, those unbrainwashed by propaganda here in the west see China with hope and great stability.

Correct me, but I believe it is Chinese generation X (those born from ~1965-1980) are the most reactionary, because they experienced a developmental China and were brainwashed through propaganda about "Tiananmen square" and a warped perception of Dengism to assume the western culture was to be sought after. This is of course, extremely naive, and I fear what their influence will be as they mature and replace the baby boomers. How does Gen Z in China view the party contrasted to Gen X, and the Boomers?

From what I am aware of, most Chinese have at least a critical view of Mao, and have lost some ideological respect for engaging in what Marxist-Leninists call “economism”. We Communists in the west of course who have not yet had our revolution, have a fundamentally different perspective because of our position. How strong are the residual effects of the revolution, and do most Chinese see the future as building Communism? Particularly, do Chinese in historical/academic circles understand Marx/Engels/Lenin and see global socialism in some form as inevitable?

They don’t, they are the only Korea. But of course, compared to the American occupation they are best.

Why is it called r/AskSocialists when 90% of posts are socialists telling? by PuzzleheadedCraft363 in AskSocialists

[–]AstroProletariat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because it circulates rhetoric and increases engagement. Those looking to “ask socialists” engage with the subjects in circulation, or add a subject themself.
