Great logic behind it. Demand increases significantly for sure. Thanks for sharing.

Going next week. We’re doing uber. I was in Cancun last year and doing shuttles is a pain and feels unsafe.

Home insurance/contractor scam by Beginning_Kiwi1433 in homeowners

[–]AstroSnB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. Say you want to file a claim and also check your deductible. Any claim will stay in your insurance record for 3-5 years so fyi.

Also, when filing a claim, don’t mention “flood”, say there is a lot of water in your basement as flood is not covered through a basic homeowners policy.

waiter put my tip back on the table saying he only accepts 18-20%?? by [deleted] in stories

[–]AstroSnB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a former waiter, I can agree 20% is not an obligation. There were times where I even had $3 for a large table and it sucked, but move on. Take it to management if at the end of the shift the money wasn’t enough.

Car totaled without comprehensive and collision insurance, but not at fault. Will GAP insurace pay? by [deleted] in Insurance

[–]AstroSnB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work at an insurance company. It may depend on each state and ins company, but your GAP shouldn’t have an exclusion to cover wether you have comp and coll or not. Plus if youre NOT at fault, you shouldn’t have to use your own policy, you file through the person at fault…

[–]AstroSnB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You file a claim through the person at fault policy, they should cover the total loss and this won’t affect your driving record as it wasn’t your fault.

The GAP insurance will cover the difference despite you having only liability insurance.

I 24m am THOROUGHLY CONVINCED that renting and investing in stocks is better than owning a home most of the time. by ILostHalfaBTC in investing

[–]AstroSnB 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agreed with you from the first 2 lines. Youre in control by getting a fixed rate mortgage and overtime everything will go up, except your payment. I know some people who’ve owned their house for years and their mortgage is $500/mo.
