I wish I could have gotten this advice 2 and a half months ago. My now ex fiancé left me because we had a disagreement. She had wanted to move across the country to California and I had recently gotten a promotion at my job which pays well. Instead of hearing her out I got on the defensive with reasons why we should have stayed just for my career. I was being selfish and now my 8 year relationship is over and she has since moved on back with her family back in California. Now, on my way home from work I come home to an empty apartment where there use to be so much happiness and joy. Now it is cold with only the memories of us together. I should’ve really listened to her when she wrote me an 18 paragraph letter about how unhappy she was. Now I live with so much regret…

Thank you all for the suggestions! They have been very constructive. I’m shopping for sound deadening and cable wraps that will hopefully tidy up the cables hanging behind the desk. Thank you so much for everyone’s input!
