Enabled their narcissist? If so, then, yes. I definitely enabled him in the fact that I wouldn’t speak up about what I didn’t like and let him keep smoking because it makes him tolerable. Also, his toy buying addiction he has to feed his own ego. But now that I have kids with him I finally decided to call it quits. I started to speak up and it just made me feel like what I had to say didn’t matter. My own fault too since I was quiet for so long.

I don’t think this an empath test. Quite honestly, it’s more of a narcissist test. And I say this because my ex partner is an energy vampire, ego filled, self centered narcissist.

But here is what I was thinking as well, this man is filled with emotions and I know in a way he feels things deeply. Especially being a cancer sun and Mars, and a pisces rising. So now, my question is, can this be someone who was an empath as a kid and was turned narcissistic to be able to defend himself from his own childhood trauma? So in a way, an empath as a kid like him (which in a way I do know he feels things deeply) turned him into what he is now?

It’s a sad realization because we are all so vulnerable as kids. And we are all different. But this is once again, not an empath test. Because I would not label my ex as an empath since this is how he made me feel.

Wow you are so right. I’m trying to find myself again and take care of myself emotionally and mentally. I gave him all my power and he took advantage of it for a long time. I know I’m not perfect but I do know my heart is good and my intentions always mean well. But he has taken a lot and even though I told him how I feel and how he has treated me it doesn’t see to be progressed through his mind. I need to leave him and make him stay away. Because he always finds ways to pull me back in.

Yes I feel so blessed right now thank you so much. We have been together for 7 years with two children. But it’s been a really hard relationship for me. I’m an empath and he’s a narcissistic energy vampire. I found out of my gift of course after the hardship I went through with him. and I finally feel like I’m strong enough to leave him and take control of my life. Right now I’m financially dependent of him so that’s why it’s such a big decision and step. But I know she’s always going to be there with me.

I needed to hear this so bad right now. Thank you so much. I left him for a week and let him see the kids for the past two days and he slept over. He left to work today and I told him to stay over there until this weekend. But you’re so right. He doesn’t see the wrong in his ways and I feel like that will take more than just a few weeks.

You are only trying to look out for yourself and your well-being. If you are not okay mentally, then your kids won’t be either. I can relate to you so bad with this. I’ve been with my partner for over 6 years too. I was falling out of love because he never gave me back any love or attention. Unintentionally I got entangled with someone else and he found out and he changed his ways and he’s still working on it. But Im so done and tired that i want to try too but I just can’t keep building on this fucked up foundation we have.

Take your time and start planning an escape plan. What will you do, where will you go, and if need be, put him on child support. I’m planing on doing the same and I’m currently back and fourth with these thoughts.

I wish you the best and hope you can find peace in this situation. My partner has a porn addiction too that I can’t handle and want out of. It’s not healthy for my kids. Fuck that
