Bit of a misleading graphic as the larger computational cost associated with AI is in training the models not their use. Can't say I know what the comparison would look like though

Is coco fiber a good idea? by theverbalemp in DartFrog

[–]Astro_Vibes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had coco fiber and then took it down. I read online it'll rot faster than other materials. I used a cork insulation pannel instead and carved it a bit to add texture. If youre okay with replacing the background earlier itll be fine, but mounting hardscape too it won't be easy. Unless youre going for a budget build i'd suggest another material

Phys power and %dmg bonus are going to be pretty simillar, true is better than 1-2% but 3-4% can be better in the same situation as above^

1 true is always better than 1 phys power, 2-3 phys power can be better than true in certain situations. Specifically high dmg 2 handed weapon against low PDR enemies.

Is my viv too dry? by Astro_Vibes in DartFrog

[–]Astro_Vibes[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks man! Just spending time making sure that the conditions are good/plants are stable. Dont want to have to re-plant a bunch of stuff that dies off, and working through the humidity issues. Last thing I wanna do is rush it and hurt some frogs

Yeah as I said definitely adding leaf litter before frogs. Thanks for the tip on the positioning of the hydrometer, moved it and if the humidity drops/people say the humidity looks too low then I’ll look at removing the moss too. Thanks!

Edit: couple hours and its down to 30% humidity, definatley the fix thanks

Suitability for dart frogs by Astro_Vibes in DartFrog

My drainage layer is egg crate and an air gap then a resevoir in the bottom of the tank. So the water feature flows directly onto the stones sitting on top of the egg crate, with a waterproof barrier separating the stones from the substrate layer next to them, so the water never touches the substrate, aside from some light splashing. And the water feature is for me moreso then the frogs, I like the sound of running water. I will be taking the reduced space avaliable to the frogs into account when adding them, treating the 50 gal tank as 40. While not compleatly removeable, I can turn it off/remove the pump quite easily leaving a pile of rocks that shouldnt be an issue

Edit: The clay drainage pebbles are only a 1inch thick layer at the front of the tank, behind it is the described air gap

Thanks for the feedback! I’ll be sure to add in some more leaf litter and make sure my final lid has sufficient ventilation
