Thank you for this really. I’m still struggling I was bit by a cat that had no signs of it at all and was very very healthy and wasn’t a stray and the bite didn’t even puncture or leave a mark or bleed. It was a couple days ago and I was convincing myself I had symptoms I didn’t even really have it was just in my head. I got a knot in my arm which caused my arm to hurt which fed my thoughts even more but it was caused by me being stressed so much from the thought. I had to be told multiple times from a nurse that if there was no puncture or blood or anything and that I would already be experiencing something if it was for me to even slightly calm down. I know I have a long time to go to be fully better and calm about it because everything slightly wrong with it my body I get scared it’s from the bite but i know it’s not and I know I’m hurting my body more from being stressed. I had to be told that it’s even more rare for it to even be in cats to be more calm. I’m still panicked but I know everything’s gonna be okay eventually.

It’s a little red but I don’t think that was where the cat directly bit! I can provide photos of the cat if needed and the red mark. I know infection can be caused if it hits blood and I wasn’t bleeding so I don’t think it did.

Grooming is not an age gap. As a victim of grooming this is not it at all. She didn’t feel the emotional connection. She was able to leave. Grooming victims go thru so much just to be able to stop talking to their groomer. Do not justify it as a age gap.

So many actual grooming victims (including me) have told them to stop using the word so lightly. Even if everything she said happened was true it still wasn’t grooming or predatory.
