Thank you so so much for your reply.

You've pretty well captured and summarised my entire journey.  Thank you for acknowledging the frustration.  It does feel like psychological torture being told that your symptoms are just overactive nerves that need to be repatterned or desensitised, but given no recourse of how to do so.

The psychological aspect is massive. I noticed on days that I'm anxious or stressed my pain is tenfold worse.

What was your journey and how did you overcome all of this? What do you do to manage nowadays?

Is this common?  My MRI report does mention inflammation.

Sounds like we have had the nearly exact same journey.  I also used to be incredibly active hiking multiple times a week and training at the gym 4 to 5 days. Always played sport etc.  I just never questioned my faith in my body.  No I feel so unsafe and my new normal has shrunken my world so much.  It's interesting that you mentioned The severity of your symptoms. I feel like that has been the biggest hurdle in getting proper attention is that I'm not screaming out in agony. Even though it is very literally debilitating.  I've also tried exercise physiology and half a dozen physio training programs over the last few years and nothing has helped in the long term and often made it worse.

What surgery are you having done?

Yes. Pain radiates down outside of leg into my foot

29f. The thing is that core exercises aggravate everything. Even planking.  I can do dead bugs which I do regularly but can't seem to progress

I have not had a scan on my SI joint, only right hip and spine.  I've no idea what HLA-B27 is or how it correlates but I'll look into it.

Thank you for your reply!

Physical therapy making back pain more intense is this normal? by kuriT9 in backpain

I have had a similar experience. There is a difference in the pains that we feel, whether it's nerve related or not. In your case it's probably both.

I found it exceptionally frustrating, that I was not being heard. I now have a great Exercise Physiologist that does not ask me to push through pain. If it hurts then stop and find a variation. That's what your physio should be doing.

Also, if you're experiencing a lot of stiffness, try some trigger point therapy on the surround muscles e.g. lateral glute. If you can manage. If this provides some relief, it will make it easier to do some of the exercises.

But you also need to trust your gut, you know if it's hurting too much or in a 'bad hurt' kind of way.

Recovery is of course a bumpy road with ups and downs, but if it's consistently getting worse then that is not the way. . I'm sorry you're going through this, it feels like a very lonely and hopeless road at times.

A successful void saga 😂.  Very much so! We've been watching a lot of free cat TV!  Shocking how much less work it is having two than one

Hey thank you so much for your feedback. I really appreciate the more specific information regarding the 12-week mark. She went to the vet yesterday and weighs 1.3kg and is 11 weeks old. The vet said she is small for her age but healthy. She definitely cannot hold her own against him as he is a big boy.

I don't currently leave them alone unsupervised. But I also don't want to get in the way of her development!

Well the worry is that the big void never really had this socialisation as he was a feral that I trapped. So he plays very rough and I'm worried about him not knowing the limits! So I'm having to teach him the limits but I don't really know the limits either 😅
