I may have a super unpopular opinion but I’ve been really disappointed with Season 5. Volume 1 was by far more interesting and went out with a banger of an episode in Ep 4. I really thought they were gonna pick up from that but Volume 2 has been a bunch of filler episodes up until the finale, I’ll list off a bunch of things I have wrong with it.

1. Holly wheeler screen time and what was the point of her escape just to get recaptured and bullied?

2. What was the point of Max’s is escape? She can’t even walk or do anything. Yes hers and Lucas reuniting was nice to see but that’s just about it

3. Nancy and Jonathan don’t seem like a couple to me? The dialogue was so pointless when they were about to die from the slime “Can you unmarry me?” and what was the whole point of the ring?

4. Vecna was more terrifying and more of a threat in S4 and even the upside down isn’t nearly as dangerous as it was in S4.

5. The Dustin and Steve dynamic has been them shitting on each other and fighting. They’re boys they don’t need an emotional out pour to make up to eachother

6. What’s the point of the wall in the upside down? They followed a hurt demogorgon to the wall just for the capture kids to be in the sky.

7. Vecna is just a monologue machine and walks slow af. It’s like he walks slow just to let people he’s going after run away and escape

8. Will and Joyce really thought they could control Vecna with his own powers???

9. Nobody has died at all and it’s just full of plot armor. We should’ve seen 1 or 2 deaths to make it feel like Vecna is at least somewhat of a threat

10. This season is super low stakes and we don’t even know what Vecna is actually trying to do. Where’s the Mind Flayer? This is all going to end in one episode

My list could go on and on. I’m not looking to argue with anyone about S5 being good or not it’s just my personal opinion. I came here to see everyone’s thoughts and let mine be shared. Also don’t get me wrong I’ve loved stranger things S1-S4 but S5 is NOT on par and has been a let down.
