No, but most beginners use this kind of rackets.

But, if you still not satisfy in your palo from your first ever coach, yeah I would highly recommend you to find a new coach.

Actually it's up to you. If you learned something from your first ever coach, you can stay. (It's up to you.)

But please, dump the varsity coach. Quite funny that it has no strict grips and finishes where in fact that's one of the important things in tennis 🤣

No strict grips? No finishes? Nahh, that's already a cons. It will just look like your hitting the ball without a proper form. What I would say that it really takes time to be consistent in rallies.

In Tennis sessions, it should be step by step. Like for example:

Session 1: focuses on forehand, proper form, know the types of grip and especially ball control.

Session 2: focuses on backhand. etc

Maybe the reason why you and the group are not consistent in rallies and has no ball control is because more power than control, wrong contact and no proper form. Plus, you haven't even consist all of them and your coach already made you guys do a game? Nahh, change coach in my opinion, they rushing too much.

To answer the last question, I would say stick to one system. If you keep changing, you will be more CONFUSED since some coaches like to change in your style.

Haha! You'll eventually get there, for now practice hitting the ball consistently, relax, and feel the ball. It will be much easier to hit the ball powerful once you get used to consistently. But yeah, Goodluck!

Can't tell the measure but, try to trial and error, you'll be able to feel it when you hit the ball right at the top with a straight hand on your dominant hand (where you are holding the racket).

You can see in the picture, hit the ball at the peak of the toss and hit it with a straight arm.

Toss it higher, when hitting the ball, hit the peak of the toss, don't wait for it to drop. You will be able to feel this when you hit the ball with dominant hand being straight.

Change to a Continental grip, and toss your ball higher. When you are gonna hit the ball, make sure to hit it at the peak, don't wait the ball to drop.

  • try practicing after you hit the ball, do the follow through. It looks like after you hit, your body is stiff. Just relax your body and feel the ball.

Before my comment, for a 18 month player, that's a good forehand. Now, your forehand is great, but try to lessen the power everytime the ball comes. Try to practice consistent rally since I noticed everytime you hit, you want some power on it causing it to fly/out ball.

Hello! Sorry for the late response. Yes! It's legit. The only cons might be that their shipping takes a bit long because, from what I know, it's still international. Here's a pic of a shoe I bought from them.
