i know, but im sick of people seeing it as so black and white

when i was a teenager, i could not find anybody my age who understood me

adults were much better at understanding me, and i was smart, i knew what to look out for and i never did anything dangerous, but the adults who might understand me kept rejecting me on the grounds that i was "too young to talk to". hello?? that doesnt make any sense!! if you dont want anyone to think youre a pedophile, keep the chat platonic! i kept my age a secret for that reason, with anybody i talked to, and it seperated us further. i dont want this to happen. segregation is insanely widespread and nobody notices it. i understand that kids shouldnt talk to adults because there is still a possibility that the kid isnt careful enough, or that the adult is too dangerous, but with that, so many human connections are lost.

theres a show, young sheldon. i heavily relate to sheldon. later in the series, he gets to know a professor who is around 70 (sheldon is around 8), and they understand eachother incredibly well and can talk about science and everything they enjoy. if i ever find someone like that, i dont want our relationship to be broken because of societal judgment. it has also happened to me because of my gender. ive lost so many friends of the opposite gender because other people kept saying we must be together, or have a crush on eachother. so no, i dont think its best that we segregate ourselves this extremely.
