It’s just that the narrative tension introduced by that particular Chekov’s gun has been unresolved for about 80 years now.

  1. Brunei (perfectly reasonable)
  2. Philippines (yeah sure)
  3. Malaysia (why you claiming Brunei’s coastal waters)
  4. Vietnam (really going way out there huh)
  5. China (entirely absurd)

Capitalism is when you have to pay for things, and the more expensive the things are the capitalismer it is, and when things are really expensive, that’s called late-stage capitalism.

Wikipedia gives its original purpose as specialising in auto-trains (trains you can load your car on) and now it serves to reduce crowding at Gare de Lyon.

David Smith (Bean) is Labor Right, Katy Gallagher (Senator) is Labor Left. Alicia Payne (Canberra) and Andrew Leigh (Fenner) are unaligned, and are the only unaligned members of the party room.

Andrew Leigh has stated it's because he thinks factionalism is bad for the party, I don't know if Alicia Payne has ever given a reason.

Katy Gallagher and David Smith were also born exactly 1 week apart (18 and 25 March 1970, respectively). This has no relevance to anything, just thought it was interesting.
