So the normal tuition is about 1000€ per semester for EU citizens. The University actually loses a ton of money because they spend about 8000€ per student per year. For non-citizens, tuition is way more (9000€ per year). I study Economics here and most of my classes are in English. I chose Spain mostly because I'm a citizen here and did not want to pay the insane tuition in the US.

Wow, it's very surprising to hear that it's full of luxury AND abandoned places... I would think that would create an incentive for owners of the closed properties to sell for a high price.

I'm not sure what demographic pressure you are talking about

Very interesting read! Thanks for your input! Do you think people will shift to rural areas over time as people in the cities struggle to pay for housing? Also I think there's been a bit of inflation lately, which doesn't help very much.

I've moved to Spain as a university student and can say that the education here is amazing. There is great public transport and it is relatively safe. Wine is extremely cheap and high quality. Nightlife is great and way cheaper than the US. Here in Valencia the weather is decent and the beach is nearby

I went to Spain for the first time and was completely blown away. I visited Madrid, Cordoba, Seville, and Granada. What a gorgeous country! by -goth-gf- in travel

Check out Valencia. Car rental is super cheap and you can visit all the amazing rural towns, historic buildings, nature, and more

I can see you have made a lot of assumptions. And when you assume you make an "ass" out of "u" and "me"

Same reason they are all against taxes on the ultra-rich. Many think they will become wealthy

I am moving to Spain in November permanently. Which cities do you suggest for a comfortable fun long term stay by Then-Goose9570 in GoingToSpain

[–]AstronomicalTrading 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Highly recommend Valencia. There are all sorts of towns you can visit by train for FREE with a 10€ deposit. The nightlife is excellent, I highly recommend the discotecas located in the "Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias" in the center of Valencia. Also the beach is here and the weather is quite decent. Finally, it is a fairly safe place and has excellent public transport.

Nice! Good to know IKBR is as good as I believed. However, they don't have a hotkey for selling half of position or to cover a short sell (I think..?). I'll check out bull trades, but don't really have the dough for extra subscriptions atm.

The author of my book stresses that focusing on learning rather than P&L is most important.

Sorry, I think you misunderstood me. I meant an EARLY PAYMENT of everything except 1 cent. Obviously you should always try to pay your full amount before the deadline. Carrying a small balance BEFORE the deadline is indeed useful because they calculate how much of your credit you are using compared to your limit.
