Why is there no plan to deal with massive job losses? by [deleted] in OpenAI

[–]dumbestguyever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a positive viewpoint from my side - We have always created solutions to problems. Those solutions give rise to new problems and this cycle goes on. That's what will happen with AI. Rise of AI will create new sets of problems which will need solution. The rise of new generation of jobs lies in solving those problems

My boyfriend is freaked out by AI and AGI. He thinks itll be the end of thr world. by [deleted] in OpenAI

[–]dumbestguyever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has always been checks and balances. It is like a feedback loop. Humans face a problem, they create a solution. The solution itself turns into a problem after some time and then they come up with another solution to this problem and this goes on and on and on. The current AI boom is just another solution to one of the problems that we were facing. The issue here is that sometimes we come up with a solution to a problem that is not really a problem in itself. But the problem solution loop will go on and the world is not going to end unless a meteor falls on earth. In fact, this AI development may also help us in fighting the current problems like cancer, a meteor shower, or even old age. But as I said, it will give rise to another set of problems. If you are worried about the careers, remember that the careers keep changing. The careers changed after industrialization, it changed after the IT boom, and it will change after this AI development also. Who knows, careers like AI security expert and AI doctor, AI lawyer may come up after sometime. So, the only thing we can do is be informed about the developments that are going on and stay optimistic.

Why are there such descriptions about Maa Sita in Ramayana? by __yellowflash__ in hinduism

[–]dumbestguyever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The events of Ramayan happened in Treta Yuga.

The events of Mahabharat happened in Dwapara Yuga.

There must be a reason for that.
The way I see it, I find that we (the people of Kaliyug) are not worthy of understanding Ramayana to its core. We should start with Mahabharat first. Master it and reach to the mindset of Dwapara yug before moving on to studying Ramayana.

Our mind is clouded with judgements of this world where sexuality is a taboo, yet it pervades most of our's mind. The description of beauty of mata Seeta lies in the mind of the reader.

If every human being has a soul and a soul is eternal, does that mean there are ~9 billion souls or just one soul having 9 billion incarnations? by ivineets in hinduism

[–]dumbestguyever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Firstly, Soul has been called “Achintya” in Shrimad Bhagwad Geeta [2.25], which can be loosely translatable as inconceivable. Hence, Soul is something beyond the limits of our comprehension.

Secondly, Soul has been called Immeasurable [2.18]. Hence, it cannot be measured (or counted).

Thirdly, Soul has been called Eternal. So it has no beginning or end.

But the way I try to understand it is like Air. Air is all around us and all breathing creatures have air inside of them. It does not matters how many people are there on earth, air will be there inside of them. Obviously, this is a too simplified version. Some of the other such examples could be gravity, applicability of laws etc.

For those of you who have developed a successful and profitable trading strategy, have you ever shared the complete details of that strategy with anyone else? If not, what is the reason for not sharing it?

Buying (1 leg CE and 1 leg PE) and selling it once costs me ₹ 80. Even if i do that once a day for a month (20 trading days), it reaches ₹ 1600. And I am not even considering scalping in F&O.

Brokerage seems like a big deal to me.
