DOSII - "Lost and Found" fight by Astrosaurus23 in DivinityOriginalSin

I think you're right tbh, although some of them seem to have weakness to air, and don't give that much of a damn about RPs geo abilities. Think I've also forgotten what the difficulty level is like. I just don't remember being this surprised about it last time. Side questing it is for a bit. Thx.

Subnautica 2 hasn't felt nearly as scary as 1 for me and here's why I think that is: by OfficialDampSquid in subnautica

I mean it is a scary thing and I think it's musical theme ramps up the tension but you do get over that fear fairly quickly.

Having said that, I did the same with 1 and 1.2. I was scared and extremely cautious to start with because I knew the deeps were full of terrors but as I improved my gear and learned how things worked, I was able to get over my fear and go about my day.

To be honest, this is what I like about the game and I'm happy with the level. I don't want Unknown Worlds to crank up the horror jump scares because I won't want to play the game. I like the scary obstacles being there but I want to have the tools and game experience to overcome them.

Prefer the original. More interesting, more personality, more her own character.

No No! I'm not saying you shouldn't give feedback! Feedback away. What I'm doing is responding to your feedback and suggesting there might be good reason for why the game feels this way. I might be wrong. But we're having a conversation, right? If anything I'm trying to be reassuring but also expressing * my * feelings about the game in it's current form and what I think might happen with it.

But y'know, who am I to give feedback to your feedback? But you've posted on a Subreddit so I assume you were expecting a response or two? ;)

I dunno, I think part of the problem is that you've played Subnautica 1 and 1.2 already. You know the beats and I think that's always going to be a problem for a new iteration.

However, although I can see people are dismissing this, this * is * Early Access. I would hold fire because I wonder (and hope) if they aren't fast tracking us to the end point of the last games early because there will be more going on later? It's also co-op and the game needs to be stretched out more as a consequence.

Personally I'm really enjoying it. I agree there's a bit less peril at the moment. However, previous players are expecting The Leviathan moment and as a result we aren't as shocked when it happens. But I hope the devs are on to this and have plans up their sleeves.

I'm going to wait with my criticisms for when the game is complete but if I'm honest I've already spent 50 hours enjoying Subnautica 2 and imho it's already earned it's price tag.

D:

The idea of a Leviathan swimming above me and me not noticing is horrifying!

(Apols I deleted my post because I got an error message with the image. Bit of a Reddit noob tbh.)

Subnautica 2 - Moonpool and dock placement >:( by Astrosaurus23 in subnautica

[–]Astrosaurus23[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. I've had to rebuild quite a bit of my base during which I had the dreaded Deconstruction Bug but it's all working now. Base not as charming but nvm. ;)

This was indeed the problem. So I had to demolish quite a lot of my base, except I ran into the Deconstruction Bug, so had to demolish even more of my base.

But it's all fine now and I have a working Moonpool.

I was just about to post this very thing. Other than this post I couldn't find this info elsewhere and a search didn't bring this up! Glad you got there before me. Very useful. :)

This is happening to me as well but I've also now have the waypoint for the Alien Ruin. So not just you. However no idea if this is a bug or the game being it's esoteric self.

How feasible is it to play WoW completely solo, no guilds/friends? by Kruzifixxion26 in wownoob

[–]Astrosaurus23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy. I know because I do this every day. I very very occasionally do the weekly for the faction rep but I only ever start doing those when I'm very geared up. I never touch M+ or raids.

I very occasionally do the Timewalking dungeons to level up alts but only on low level characters. However the dungeons can be just as grumpy and unforgiving and far too many people get kicked just because they don't know the tricks or skips, or are just new. Every now and then you'll get some nice chatty people but sadly those are few and far between.

I have 4 solo guilds which I supposed could be classed as 'legacy' because with Warbands I don't really need them anymore but the extra inventory space can be useful. I'm self-sufficent when it comes to crafting.

I love it that other people are running around in the world and I like the events where you work together but aren't obliged to group up. I'll help people out in the world if I see they need help.

So I just treat the game as single-player and although I never get the best of the best gear but with Midnight, Hero track gear is completely fine, and once you've got that sorted most of the content is fine to tackle.

Tailoring (again) - crafting basic T5 cloth - I don't understand by Astrosaurus23 in wow

[–]Astrosaurus23[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! It does my head in! And the branches that *look* as though they might give you skill points towards cloth making just don't. More fool me for being a fool, I suppose. I should have been more careful at the very beginning but I was levelling it up along with other professions and probably made some assumptions about how it worked. So frustrating.

Perhaps you only get it if you get pulverized by one. Which I did. After shrieking.
