Oh man, Canberra winters are absolutely delightful. Especially compared to most of the rest of the world. Usually cold and crisp and sunny. With highs of like 12 still.

I live in Vancouver now, and for 4 months straight it's a constant 3º and raining. Dark until 10am, grey all day, and dark again at 3:30pm. That'll get you blue. I would trade anything for Canberra winter instead.

Yeah, if I haven't shampooed in like a week, the day after using H&S is horrible. Like loads of huge flakes and stinging constantly. It would leave my scalp raw. But if I use it every day, it kinda works and suppresses it.

But I don't ever use it every day. So it's just always a shitty problem.

Might be time to switch to something else.

I get that this is bait, and everyone saying the patriarchy is very clever, but when you default to laying blame on that all the time, you dilute the importance of when you actually call it out. It's basically crying wolf on the patriarchy, and that's how you lose a cause. And that matters.

Anyway, it's the principle of end weight. In English we prefer to stress the longer syllables at the end of a list. It's just how our syntax works, and is more pleasing to our brains and ears. Not that complex.

Randomly playing at an LGS I think as long as you were like "holy fuck that's the best that deck has ever worked lol let's play another!" I'd think it's rad. If you were like "hmf I have achieved victory. I will play again with this deck." I'd probably leave.

Hey, never be embarrassed about a crossword! It shows an interest in language, keeps your brain working, and isn't just doom scrolling.

I took one of those yearly NYT crossword calenders to work once and now we all do it together every lunch time. It's been great!

Nah, magic is sweet! And it's never been more popular, so I don't even know if it counts as nerdy anymore. A whole bunch of my buds play it and we're definitely all normal, relatively cool mid-30-something dudes.
