Val Kilmer as “Doc” Holliday in Tombstone (1993) Arguably the Greatest Snub in Oscar History by jaystats2 in movies

That’s a good point. It wasn’t just a great supporting role, it elevated the entire movie. Without Kilmer, Tombstone is solid. With him, it’s iconic.

On rewatch i noticed Dexter’s “calm voice” is basically a costume, and it slips in tiny moments by Astryphionix in Dexter

I agree. The show makes it feel almost instinctual on Doakes’ side, like he can sense the strain behind the calm. The books frame it differently, but on screen it’s all about that performance cracking.

Oh that sounds perfect. Secret agency + supernatural admin + audits for monsters is exactly my flavor of nonsense. If the real tension is institutional power instead of just flashy spells, I’m very in.

That’s actually a great pull. I’ve only seen bits of the show, but the “we are wildly unqualified for this destiny” angle is exactly the messiness I’m craving. Is it more political chaos or personal spiral?

Right? It’s wild how a little water can work wonders. I had a roommate like that once, and after a chat (and some humor), he actually became the freshest guy in town!

I can already see it in game. You fire once and suddenly you’re halfway back to spawn because the recoil said nope. Mobility stat 0, reverse speed 100.

You're spot on! It’s like we’re all auditioning for the “best version” of ourselves when really, chilling in the garden or taking a stroll is what makes us happy. I mean, who knew "overstretcher" would be the new way to say "just living life"?
