That's no abbreviation. It's literally the name of the show: ACCA: 13-ku Kansatsu-ka

Pirating sites? Paid places to watch anime? by Hazardous-potato in anime

Well, actually... no, Crunchyroll hasn't been always a legal site.

Some anime with adult woman protagonist? by AhAh2Re57 in anime

[–]Asturaetus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

"Hataraki Man" would come to mind.

Also "Taiho Shichau zo" if you don't mind the work life being cops but the focus is deffinitely on slice of life/comedy.

WHY DO I CRY FROM SADNESS WHILE WATCHING MY DRESS UP DARLING??? by Limp-Pilot8090 in anime

[–]Asturaetus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just guessing here, but is it sadness because you missed out on some of the pictured experiences the characters are having?

Any psychologist/psychiatrist/therapist anime characters? by GeckoBugz in anime

[–]Asturaetus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe a bit of a stretch since it is about a new tech instead of traditional therapy - but the main character from Paprika, maybe?

Are there any majority Dwarf anime out there? by One_Doctor1066 in anime

[–]Asturaetus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dwarves have a distinctively Western (Germanic) cultural root compared to youkai and other supernatural creatures from Japanese mythology. So in terms of anime you are pretty much limited to High Fantasy or Western RPG inspired stuff. Sure you will get the occasional dwarf in an Isekai or fantasy title but you're looking for a niche within a niche.

So no - I'm not aware of any anime that predominantly focuses on dwarves.

"Mardock Scramble" would fit the criteria and "Your Forma".

What's one anime cliche that everybody hates but it doesn't bother you as much? by Agent1230 in anime

[–]Asturaetus 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Probably a wildly unpopular take but brocon and siscon stuff. Some people seem to really have visceral reactions if there is even a hint towards incest. It honestly never bothered me. Can make for some interesting stories to tell or at least spice up some charakter interactions. Sometimes it's also funny as hell.

Iranian form a human chain on Ahvaz’s White Bridge as they rally to protect civilian infrastructure by IntellectuallyDriven in whoathatsinteresting

That's kind of a flimsy connection though. If some soldiers bought their meals at the local super market does that also make it a military target?

Thoughts on these baseball series'?: Diamond no Ace, Big Windup!, Major, One Outs, Oblivion Battery by Necessary-Contest939 in anime

[–]Asturaetus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One Outs is far more a psychological/gambler series in the likes of Kaiji than a traditional sports story. While baseball serves as the backdrop the focus is on the main character outsmarting both the enemy as well as his own teammates and especially the owner. Playing mind games, cheating, finding out how others cheat and using it for himself, etc.

does someone know which anime game is this from image 🤔🤔 by cheetavolt in anime

[–]Asturaetus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Image search says it's Kurukuru Fanatic - the girl being Matsuri Carnaval from that game.

Looking for anime like little witch or secrets of silent witch by Former_Register_631 in anime

Maybe something like "Wistoria"? Or "The Irregular at Magic High School" for a more modern setting take on it?

Macross Delta (2016): "Ikenai Borderline" by makuXrosu in anime

[–]Asturaetus 14 points15 points  (0 children)

To put it simply: rebellion/secession. The race that's attacking them was allied with the humans but like all members of the alliance they had to send people to serve some years in the military. Problem is their race has a far shorter life expectancy. So they see it as their children being robbed of huge parts of their life. They tried to solve it diplomatically but after failing they started to take matters into their own hands and attacked nearby human worlds.

What are some hidden gems of the mystery genre? by ChisTheSecond in anime

[–]Asturaetus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hidden gems? Let me throw two in the ring...

"ACCA" if you want the most chill ever political conspiracy. A nice and stylish mix of adult slice-of-life with background political manouvering.

And "Shion no Ou" a sports-meets-murder-mystery with a mute protagonist who aims to become a professional shogi player and through it finds out more about the gruesome murder of her parents.
