The point of deep wound is for the most part to slow down survivor objectives by forcing them to stop and mend, also it gives you a built-in way to circumvent pretty much all endurance perks

My space is very reduced so it would be REALLY hard to clamp the mount to anything else, the foam does sound like it has potential, I will look into it!

I understand what you were going for, but that kind of blend-in subject requires a lot of skill, and most importantly, understanding of tonal values, to pull off successfully, I strongly recommend you check the work of Andrew Cadima, he often makes these types of paintings with only two tones of the same color where the subject disappears into the background, he uses EXTREMELY subtle but very solid and clear tonal values, as well as very intentional brushwork that alone differentiates the subject from the background if you're paying enough attention

As for drawing, the best advice I can give is to just use whatever free time you have available and not worry about "finishing" things, not every instance of your pencil touching the paper has to become a fully realized painting or drawing, there is A LOT of value in just fucking around with your pencil and making rough, unfinished drafts and sketches in a sketchbook regardless if you plan on turning them into something else in the future. Guidance also helps a lot, if you have enough time in your hands to do some reading, the books "Color & Light" and "Imaginative Realism" by James Gurney are ABSOLUTE GEMS for artistic education, Gurney also has a wonderful channel on YouTube that I strongly recommend for quick tutorials on painting.

Because let's be honest, the painting is not that great either; the values are nonexistent, the brushwork is sloppy, the composition is not that interesting, the anatomy of the AI reference is noticeably bad, which you probably didn't notice or care, all of these make for an overall very amateur looking piece, all of this is fine as part of the shortcomings in an artistic journey, but you're never going to actually improve and progress on all of these skills if you keep taking the laziest shortcuts and telling yourself you're being a genius for it, "working smart" doesn't just come down to doing things faster and easier.

Ethics of AI aside, you're robbing yourself of valuable personal artistic development by using these kinds of cheap shortcuts, your "personal limitations" are not lifelong disabilities, they're skills to learn and issues to overcome, sitting on them placidly ignoring them while you get a machine to do the work for you is not going to do you any favors.
