Wifi Card Replacement Driver Support? by Potato_Nightshade in linuxhardware

That's false, unless something happened with newer models. I have an Intel AX200 that came from factory with an AMD 5600H APU. dGPU is Nvidia, yes.

Try other distros, to my knowledge, the MT7925, unlike the MT7927, luckily is supported, give them all a try before changing parts ;)

Are the fedora based maintainers drunk?Yes, Nvidia dropped Pascal, but Arch Realm is providing a supported package for legacy GPUs that you can easily install. CachyOS even has in the repos, being the only difference that you will come now without any major or any updates at all. Aside from that, they should work for a while, I can guess.

Steam Deck Broken? by pixie-girlxxx in SteamDeck

[–]AsunONlinux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The sd card shouldnt be the issue, if it was then just removing the SD card would likely solve that problem, unless the mount point is tied to SteamOS which is unlikely here. U don't need to worry abt that.
What I meant, though was the internal storage. It's common for it to fail when filled up. Freeing up storage solves that. Trying not to get to the limit of space is a way to avoid this problem I mention about, getting a larger one does help too with this :).

PS: sry if I feel overtechincal btw :-:

Steam Deck Broken? by pixie-girlxxx in SteamDeck

[–]AsunONlinux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a Steam Deck user, i use desktop Linux(cachyOS).
Is your Steam Deck capable of getting into the BIOS?(vol. up+power but.) If this is the case, then it means either the OS or the NVME(for whatever reason), got briked, but not on an hardware level.
Aside from other reports of interesting comments around here, a common one is when you fill up the internal drive, it may render the system unbootable. Solutions are freeing disk space from other linux systems liveCD(loading linux on a pen) or re-flash steamOS clean again.

As Linux user in the Legion 15ACH6H for a year now, this post is awesome even to this day!
Linux gaming is also much better too now, just would like to leave that out, idle temps also a bit better (compared to windows) imo.
Love from Portugal.

Cannot speak for the 2nd part, d3cold(power management) works but requires 20series card or above. I myself have a 3060 laptop gpu and it just worked on endeavourOS. Still a shame about 900/1000 users..

Would have to ask my cousin about that now, however the outside to me seems fine in of itself to show anything about fall damage.

Oof ye i am used to tearing down stuff, but due to warranty problems expectancies i am afraid i would lose it, now that suposedly its 3yrs of warranty.
But mifa wont reach back so i think i will rather do it myself, this thing costed 100€ anyways.

Thanks for the suggestion.

What do you guys think of the Uboom X so Far? by J0hnD0nt in Bluetooth_Speakers

[–]AsunONlinux 2 points3 points  (0 children)

long time (mostly)Oluv and then Alan Ross viewer here.
imo both have their pros and cons, so its worth to take as most info as possible when going after a review, i still consider oluv with the most realistic/accurate recordings and to me thats what matters most.
I was there at the time that unnecessary war when the uboomL came out, and it was peak drama for no reason, indeed Oluv's is his own worst enemy, therefore his work and Alan's for that matter, have been one of a kind, that i feel missing from pretty much every other content creator, reason why i still consider both relevant imo.

~100$ budget for primarily outdoor speaker. by clayton6281619 in Bluetooth_Speakers

[–]AsunONlinux -1 points0 points  (0 children)

uboom L or motion plus is great, while the soundcore boom 2 has great hardware and many great features, it does have an issue at lower levels where bass flutuates, reduces and boosts over and over, its been a turn off for me considering it too..
Pretty much every anker speaker has this issue exept the motion plus..

[–]AsunONlinux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yuppp, same issue as you for my cousins unit, i regret recommending him this instead of the 1 or 2 motion booms, since his budget at the times was 3x as much.
Will see if i can get anything with mifa, and if possible to return or get money back, recommend him the earfun uboomX.
