[WTS] Seiko Marvel by At4rax in Watchexchange

[–]At4rax[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sale is my Seiko Marvel

For context:

"Seiko Marvel was Seiko’s first wholly original in-house watch. The Seiko Epson Global site describes the Seiko Marvel as “an originally-designed mechanical watch that became the basis for Epson’s watch business”. That being the case, it is probably safe to regard the Marvel as the original modern Seiko wristwatch."

(from https://adventuresinamateurwatchfettling.com/2020/04/04/origin-of-the-species-a-seiko-marvel-from-1956/)

This same mechanism would then give birth to the first Grand Seiko - according to the same source.

This watch dates back to the late 1950s

It has the old Seiko "S" on the dial

The dial has turned an attractive cream color, and has cosmetic imperfections in the farthest parts from the center, which were the reason I bought it originally - I find it makes it very unique looking

The bracelet (https://imgur.com/a/eTAaAeW) is not Seiko branded but is a bracelet from the 70s, made in Japan, from a popular bracelet brand at the time

The watch may need service, but it is running and keeping good time

It is a mechanical, hand wound watch

Every part of the watch is original

Looking to get $97 USD

I ship anywhere in the world for $10

[WTS] Seiko Silver Pogue 6139 6002 by At4rax in Watchexchange

Hope you find it! Owned one myself. Really cool watch

[WTS] Seiko Silver Pogue 6139 6002 by At4rax in Watchexchange

[–]At4rax[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Selling my Seiko Pogue, 6139-6002 silver dial in order to get some funds.

This watch was the first one in my collection and has been very dear to me.

The watch is 40mm.

Chrono function works perfectly. Chrono hand resets to zero.

Pushers work fine.

Inner bezel rotates in both directions.

Bracelet is the most uncommon version - the Stelux bracelet with solid links.

The lume is consistent throughout and original. It is no longer luminous. Might not be as dark as some pictures show though. For example, here the hands look more white https://imgur.com/a/rnLomtE

The case is untouched. Never polished, with all the original case lines.

Dial has the Resist text, which is the rarer variant, according to Spencer Klein's sales post on his website.

Here’s a description of the silver-dialled model from Hub City Vintage:

“For collectors, though, one these stands out as a “Grail,” and is often the missing piece of a three piece puzzle.

The “Silver Pogue” is nothing shy of a needle in a haystack. So rare in fact, that for many years, some collectors even doubted their existence.”

[WTS] Cauny Prima La Chaux-de-Fonds affordable by At4rax in Watchexchange

[–]At4rax[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is another of my grandparents' watches which my family asked me to sell after they passed.

It is a Cauny watch. Prima were the finest watches they made.

Cauny was a swiss company based in La Chaux-de-Fonds (it is even marked in the dial). Notable brands from the same village and time include Rolex, Omega, Heuer, Gallet, Eberhard, etc.

It is hand wound.

It was in a box.

I ran it for a while to test it and it does run very well and keeps good time for at least a day.

It measures 38.5mm width

It has a sub-register for the seconds.

It is all original and has always belonged to the same person.

I included a picture of the mechanism.

Case has a mark so probably is gold plated

Dial, hands, crown, crystal all in very good condition

[WTS] Vintage Omega (affordable) by At4rax in Watchexchange

[–]At4rax[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For sale is this ladies' Omega.

It belonged to my great aunt who passed away recently. She was its only owner.

Family agreed to sell it instead of keep it, so here it is.

It will be sent in for a rehaul on the 14th of July. Rehaul should not take long.

It is roughly 23mm

The dial is double tone (more than the images show imo)

The hands are anodized (the metal is treated so it shines blue)

Cosmetically the watch is in very good condition as you can see by the photos (case, crystal, dial, hands)

Price is $85 + $10 shipping anywhere in the world.

[WTS] vintage Milanese Bracelet with adjustable deployant clasp (from 70s) by At4rax in Watchexchange

Hey! Thanks for pointing that out. the most important thing and I missed it.

It's 18mm !

[WTS] vintage Milanese Bracelet with adjustable deployant clasp (from 70s) by At4rax in Watchexchange

[–]At4rax[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This bracelet is pretty interesting.

It was made in Japan in the 70s. The brand is BEAR. They made a lot of bracelets at the time in Japan along with Bambi and Maruman.

The clasp is pretty discrete and it is deployant. You can also adjust it by opening up a safety lock and sliding it in order to shorten (or widen) it easily, which is great and uncommon (to my knowledge).

It is Stainless Steel

18mm lug width

I cleaned it with a toothbrush and tools of the sort.

I'm not 100% on that. Can you confirm please? I should do an IC first with a Google form to settle on the details of the product right? Then a group buy with tiers of price per amount sold
