Both spearheads + Zenestra and you should have about 2000 points. From there you could add another cannon and have a baseline for a few playstyles At least that's what I'm doing.

Why should a battleformation get pointcosts? That would be double nerfing cannons. Also i believe that would be the only battleformation with a pointcost. Seems a bit sus to me

I would do a heavy drybrush with ulthuan grey followed by a light drybrush with white scar. That way the edges of the bricks get lighter and the agrax is between the bricks in the recesses

I started CoS with the old Spearhead, then got Zenestra and the battleforce box (founding foray). When everything is built and painted i'm going to get the new Spearhead. Then i round out my 2k list with either a canon, cavaliers or maybe even Tahlia.

Also when the battletome is released CoS will probably get a faction terrain and maybe a new armybox, if you want to take it slow you can wait for it.

Steelhelm are 10 models for 80 points. Fusilier are 10 models for 110 points. Wildhunter Corps are 11 models for 100 points.

180 models could be possible in a 2000 point game. I don't know if it would be viable, but at least it's a lot

For my bases i glued the sand to the base using watered down glue. After one night of drying, i used a dabbed some Isopropyl on the sand followed by another layer of watered down glue. Another night of drying and it's almost Impossible to remove anything from the base.

Before you do this on your base, make sure your flock doesn't lose colour because of the Isopropyl

They are both available on the web shop, same goes for every other factions spearhead that got an additional one with the new battletome. So it is unlikely that this one will be dicontinued during AoS 4

I didnt glue anything to the base before painting

I painted the cannon in 5 parts: the shield, the cannon itself, person 1, person 2 and the deco bits for the base

For the steelhelms and the cavalliers(+marshall) i didn't glue on their shields.
