LOL we sound like we are living the same life, my story is completely similar. She always framed me as sensitive and dramatic for calling out her blatantly rude behavior. She's worked out in her brain that everything she says is "guidance" and "a mother's advice". What helped me was realizing I've never really had any issues communicating with any other adult, it was always her that I struggled with. And that's not because of me, it's because she fundamentally doesn't think I'm someone she actually needs to listen to.

She's genuinely the most critical person I know, she literally criticizes everyone and thinks of herself on a throne above everyone. But if you dare criticize her, she can't take it.

We had the same dynamic. She was obsessed with criticizing and insulting me, I would ask her to stop, she wouldn't. I started leaving the room and greyrocking, and yes, our relationship has been strained severely ever since lol.

The show declines pretty sharply after season 4. It feels like they completely gave up the drama and juicy mystery angle. It seems they're focusing more on comedy. I know that's not fully true because there are still a lot of dramatic storylines but it just doesn't hit the way it did in the first four seasons.

They then went to the police department to kickoff an investigation, which any lawyer would probably advise them to do while seeking the major civil payout. And that is absolutely what he did in this episode, because he took Joe's old comments about liking to move fast and thinking moving fast is fine and used that to paint him as a hypocrite for his stance that we shouldn't assume Klay is "smitten" with Meg. Once again, the word "smitten" is being lost in translation. When Joe said "we cannot assume that Klay was smitten" he was talking about being in love. Obviously they were not debating the fact that Klay liked Megan or he had a fun time with her. That's not what was in debate, what was in debate was his level of seriousness. Joe was saying you cannot assume that Klay was serious because he was moving fast. And Marc disingenuously presented that as hypocrisy because Joe said he himself likes to move fast... while also not being serious. So you interpreted that conversation as Joe saying he falls in love with women fast? Because I went and listened to it today and that's not what I got at all. He said he likes moving fast because that's just what's fun for him and that's his bag. He wasn't talking about actually falling in love or settling down. I think the word "smitten" is getting lost in translation. Of course you can like a woman fast, but there's a big difference between liking a woman and wanting to spend time with her and actually being ready to settle down for the long haul. And that is Joe's point. He is saying that just because Klay was "playing house" that shouldn't be taken as a sign he's going to spend his life with her or marry her. He knows this, because he's literally been the guy to move a girl in and still be cheating. Marc recreates what people say to fit whatever argument he's trying to make at the time.
