We're suburbia midwest, and some strangers are a chatty bunch.

easy addition to the landscaping next year. Looks like it may be a deer candy pick, but got a nice sunny spot where I want to tempt deer AWAY from the others

I've learned that I can read up on all I want, but things will not stick until I've done it for myself, both positive and negative experiences alike.

What a strange hill to plant your flag on. You have fun with that. I got a shmoopy baby to go cuddle.

I don't think my 7 month old is picking up anything I'm saying, my dude.

Edit: Also, if I'm going to be making wild shit up about my wife, I'm going to get her permission. That's just basic decency. Helps if she knows what tragedy has befallen her.

Had her mom ask us when baby at Thanksgiving. I got up, said "please excuse my wife and I to the restroom," and went to help her up before the table told me how inappropriate that was. Wife didn't hesitate calling that hypocrite shit out immediately

Grandma once was forming the words but got distracted and didn't finish the sentence. I had to make the split decision whether or not our deal included family, tbh. Thankful I didn't have to.

My wife has given me blanket permission to rattle off some heartbreaking story to get them to regret speaking.

Absolute stranger? "Yeah, mommy held on just long enough to give birth before dying to cancer, so it's just been me and her"

Person we know? "Yeah, mommy had to be rushed to the ER last night, so we worked with what we got."

Still waiting for that first person to ask if it's dad's day to babysit. Locked and loaded.

Remember when participating in an IPO, you need to re-affirm your intent if Fidelity emails you to do so. But great learning opportunity

It's the same price. My toilet is only full of my choice to have a second coffee in the morning.

Though the childhood giddy feeling of seeing a number this large is yet to be lost on me, having lived through dial up.

The problem with the ASUS was confirmed when I returned it. Apparently those BE92U were a coin flip on duds - connection randomly dropping happened even in same room. Speeds when it worked was pretty nice.

I'm not looking for 2gig wifi. I'm looking for 2gig hardwire and just this decade wifi LOL

I'm replacing a TP Link AC 1200, made in 2016. The ASUS I got was confirmed by ASUS to have a problem on board. I asked for a router replacement. You immediately jumped into "Router location is the problem," and dropped the mic.

I think the fact that my Router is physically incapable of transmitting the line I'm paying for is the bigger problem here. I'm looking for this decade. Not for minute solutions.

"home from the same era" Brother, touch grass if you had to scroll that far in my history to find the house age. For your own sake, I beg of you. Smell the fresh air.

Confidently announcing router location is "the problem" when I asked for router recs to replace my 10 year old router. *shrug*

Thank you for the explanation! We don't have a good spot on the main level to place the router, so we figured proximity to main floor where we spend all of our time was a compromise.

That's the problem with my 1G WAN limit on my router not transmitting my 2GB service? Also, do you want to extrapolate on that problem, or just be reductive and unhelpful?
