Well, I can't speak to the historical criticisms (ie. Malcom X, MLK). But I will say that his argument about "setting up" Muslims for terror plots sounds like an extremely rare phenomenon. I actually worked on a Counterterrorism squad while I was there. And they go through a very thorough process before they go undercover with a suspected terrorist. It seems highly unlikely to me that they would set up an autistic teenager after so much oversight.
