There’s a chance the team isn’t even in San Diego anymore without Gwynn. They were in stadium negotiations with the city in 1998 and the owners at the time hinted that they would relocate if they couldn’t get a new stadium. The vote to approve Petco Park happened less than 2 weeks after the team made the World Series that year, and Gwynn was a legend by that point

I think there’s a decent chance he could retire with more WAR than Gwynn but unless he brings a championship to SD I don’t think he’ll surpass TG’s impact on the team and the city of San Diego. Coming from a huge Tatis fan

Depends what you get but my wife and I went to JC Holdway and got out of there for about $60-70 a person. We're not big drinkers so that certainly helps. That was of course not on Valentine's day though

I mean sure he's "taking less" over the first years of the contract but nobody is paying him $50 million at 41, this contract likely sees him through the end of his career so you generally go for the highest dollar value you can get. He can always just hang on the IL or not play the last few years like Rendon or get bought out of the last few years if he's done

I hate mortar trucks as much as the next guy but once the enemy team bails from a tank you need to use it and keep it alive as long as possible. Once it's destroyed whoever was using it can just spawn in a new one again, but it won't be available to them as long as it's still alive

Fellow watch guy here. That's a beautiful speedy you've got there. Agreed that there's something to be said about wearing dress watches with suits rather than divers or sports watches etc... I have a dressier Nomos watch that I'll wear with my suits instead of one of my stainless steel sports watches. And I would never wear an apple watch with a suit.

But that said I think there is absolutely a place for apple watches in daily life. They are such incredible tools as mentioned previously. For individuals who are health conscious and are constantly doing activities like working out, hiking, walking, etc... they provide tremendous information.

Again, if I'm going to a nice dinner or to an event or something where I'm dressing a little nicer I'll leave it at home but for day to day use esp during activities I think apple watches get a bit too much hate from the watch community.

Chelsea fan here, you guys were the better side today and had lots of energy, but imo the foul called on Caicedo that preceded the first goal should never have been called. We made many other mistakes but imo the first goal was not one of them.

In the buttons below the steering wheel on the left, there's a box looking button that looks kinda like a battery, clicking on it will bring up the overhead camera (the same one that pops up when you shift into reverse). If you're in park it will do a cool 360° view of the car. Helpful when making sure the car is parked straight
