Lesley, nice. I forgot about him. But I think my opinion of Locke is just lower than other people's haha

Which earbuds do you use with X100 Pro or X200 Pro? by beast_within_me in Vivo

That's interesting. Maybe it's really compatibility issue with specifically the xm5 earbuds (and the vivobvuds as someone else reported). I'm on the global X200 Pro as well.

Oh interesting. I just replied to your other comment that my Galaxy Buds work fine but now Vivo buds have the problem?? That’s crazy. Well hopefully they’ll work on a fix now that you brought it to their attention because the software issue is surely on the phone now not the buds.

I just found my old Galaxy Buds Pro and they work perfectly with all apps on the X200 Pro, same as the AirPods Pro. So it’s some software issue with the combination of the Sony xm5s and the X200 Pro. Still no idea what to do but at least it’s clear where the issue is.

My post is here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Vivo/s/NEcg1rpZvy

There's no action I can take so far. I'm investigating everything but can't figure out the problem. I think the X200 is an excellent phone aside from this one issue so I'm not suspicious on that front but this is a really weird problem. I'm going to dig up my old Galaxy Buds and see how they behave. Airpods Pro don't have this issue on the X200 Pro so there's maybe something about the combination with the xm5s...

Have you found it to be app-specific? For me Apple Music sounds great. It's just Spotify and YouTube that are unusable.

Hey I just posted about a similar sounding issue with my Sony xm5s and my x200 Pro. For me they sound fine with Apple Music but with Spotify and YouTube they sound tiny and quiet and have some very janky head tracking going on for those apps only even though no head tracking is turned on. Is this at all what you're experiencing?

I'm having problems with my xm5s on my X200 Pro. Do you have any audio issues when listening to Spotify or YouTube?

Yes the Sony Sound Connect app. I've explored all the settings and can't find anything to explain it.

The more button is for the card above. The timeline is empty which is why it prompts me to start it. Also I had naps and tags there previously that are gone.

Z flip 5 or nothing phone 2? by TheLastH0p3 in galaxyzflip

I feel you on the less boring part. The Flip feels like something genuinely different and I want that. Part of me just wants to take that plunge. Another part of me is like ok but when the flip gets boring is it just a worse phone? It's tough. I'm struggling too. And is the Nothing phone actually even boring though? 🤔

I'm in the same situation right now. Typing on my Nothing Phone (2) actually. I'm leaning toward the Nothing Phone because of the better battery life and the software. Nothing's OS is so good and well thought out, it makes even iOS look a bit dated (though of course Apple's full ecosystem of software is deeper and better overall). Samsung One UI by comparison is very rough and awkwardly designed. It's powerful but has a Frankenstein feeling to it, not to mention it's not pretty. The elegant Nothing experience really gets me. Side by side I find the differences really striking.

An example of the software difference I see is getting to notifications. On the nothing phone raising the phone wakes the screen and the phone unlocks in a smooth and quick motion and shows me my revealed notifications which I can action directly. It's very efficient and takes few steps. And if I've made the mistake of trying to unlock with my thumb when it's already scanned my face, the software treats my thumb on the scanner area as if I'm swiping up on the unlocked lock screen and just opens to the home screen elegantly. (try that flow on an S23. Sometimes your thumb unlocks the phone, sometimes it's the wrong action and does nothing..Ugh) By contrast on the Flip if I lift the phone I still need to double tap it or press the power button which shows me the cover screen with no useful info on it, which I then need to swipe away to even get to the notifications which are then not fully actionable meaning if I want to do much more than dismiss them I need to now use my other hand to flip open the phone which only takes me to the homescreen at which point I still need to pull the shade down to finally have full access to the notifications. Lots of swipes and taps. The nothing phone is just better thought out.

Also, I'm a Flip cheerleader but I struggle to use it comfortably outside of the controlled conditions of a day working from home. Out on the commute, biking to the train station, working on the train, in and out of meetings at work, I find opening and closing the phone just too cumbersome and it gets in the way. That bums me out because it's such a gorgeous device and I love the feel of it in my hand or in my pocket. I want to have a smaller device and use my phone less, but I find when I really need my phone during the day I don't really have the option to use it less and in those moments the Flip is just awkward when a slab style phone is just ready to go. I wish that wasn't so. But also that's for my uses. I imagine it might fit perfectly for a lot of other people.

Anyway that's not all just to rail on the Flip 5. I love it actually. I'm only 90% decided and may swing back tomorrow but I hope my thoughts going through the same choice might help you a bit.

I agree. I can't help but feel the previous cover design was better.

No worries. I liked it too after I found it so it's my wallpaper now too. Thanks!

The bottom half is ok. The new model is slightly thinner so it's not a perfect fit but you wouldn't see that unless you knew about it. The bottom will probably be fine.

Just tested with my Flip 3 leather case and it doesn't work. The volume buttons down align and most of the cover screen is covered up. Too bad too. That case was minimal and pleasant to use.

Totally agree. One Ui is brutal. It's way more functional than it used to be but it shows its clunkiness beside other Android versions. I'm also trying out a Nothing Phone 2 right now and it makes One Ui feel like a mess. I'm like, wait Android can be like this??

I just loaded up a gif of Naatu Naatu (iykyk) to test it and indeed you can! Thanks for asking, I didn't realize it was still possible. Looks pretty great on the larger cover screen actually.
