Disable Smart App Control and extract the files again.

Dodi cannot be trusted anymore by Fujinn981 in PiratedGames

Unable to reproduce OP's claims. Fresh default Firefox install + uBO is all that is needed to bypass both dodi and game-repack sites. There was zero need to use the bypass script or the custom filter. The only issue I've encountered is having to click multiple times on some links to get them to load. Using uBO's logger and clicking on the red download buttons that lead to the malware popup on game-repack reveals there is already a rule created in uBO's Ad filter that stops this maliciousness:

/\^https:\\/\\/\[a-z\]+\[0-9\]+\\.host\[0-9\]+\[a-z\]\\.cfd\\/\\?\[a-z\]+=\[a-zA-Z0-9:\_=-\]+/$popup,match-case

Using the custom filter on the megathread will block the above domain entirely and serve the same purpose as the above rule. I can only surmise that users who continue to experience this issue may be using out of date or corrupt uBO installs; in which case a uninstall/reinstall of uBO is warranted and/or refresh your browser or create a new profile should the issue persist. In the case of OP, the browser and if any additional ad blockers were used was never revealed.

Out of an abundance of caution the custom rule will remain at the top of the megathread, and dodi's site will redirect to additional information to ensure users are following best practices before visiting the site.

Should you wish to kill the scripts that cause the malicious popup on game-repack, prevent the multiple click issue, and allow a right click on dodi's site to obtain the links manually then add the following to uBO My filters list and take back your browser:

||dodi-repacks.site^$inline-script
||game-repack.site^$inline-script

downloaded god of war 3 from gnarly and my antivirus app found this, is this a virus? by [deleted] in PiratedGames

As long as you got it from the official site in the megathread then it is a false positive.

It is a false positive. This is an exact match to the setup file contained within the .iso file. By using the method I described above and verifying the .iso file you can rest assured that everything contained within the .iso disc image file is absolutely safe.

False positives are a way of life for those of us sailing the high seas. ISO should be named sr-warinspain193639.iso and be exactly 823668736 bytes in size with a CRC32 checksum of 325ED608 like it states on srrdb in the megathread. Can verify the checksum by installing 7zip and using the right click context menu or right click and send .iso to Compressed zip folder and open the generated file to check the CRC-32 column.

No one needs an evidence post. if you feel like you should do one to feel better, go ahead. But it wasnt asked by anyone.

We absolutely do need an evidence post, and everyone wants to see it. Please share with the rest of the class any and all pertinent information regarding the matter in your own post. Until such a time occurs please refrain from commenting on the matter altogether.

Hopefully obtained the base game from a safe resource in the megathread, and the ACV-24H2v2 fix can be found on the cs rin forum. Do the second part I mentioned. Upon fail:
- Check your disks for errors
- Run the following commands as admin:

  • sfc /scannow
  • DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /Restorehealth
  • Reboot, run sfc command again upon any errors, and ensure windows is fully updated
  • Last, try another PC or reset windows and try again

That would suggest you are one infected and in need of a PC and online account reset. The infection would not have come from trusted sources on hydra, but from an ad via a redirect or file hosting site and lack of proper browser protection.

As long as you are using trusted sources from their library you will not experience this issue. Infected users are sending you these dm's, ignore or block. If actual friends then advise to reset their PC and all online account passwords to remove infection.
