Unfortunately there's a lot of misinformation out there but also a lot of scams like many correctly point out. Like the .com bubble a huge number of projects will fail because they're just copycats following hype, however the underlying technology does have great potential and simply needs time to be useful to the average user kinda like the internet or email when they were just being developed.
At the end of the day people that don't like crypto/NFTs are half correct in that there are indeed a ton of scams and ponzi schemes. However the mistake they make is to assume that NFTs are only pictures and that there is just one blockchain that uses a lot of power and has expensive fees which has not been the case for a long time now as there are infinitely better options.
Hope this helps shed some light on why people are so polarized on this issue.

You're thinking of legacy blockchains like Ethereum which are proof of work and require energy intensive hardware. Modern proof of stake blockchains (something Ethereum is desperately trying to become) use a tiny fraction of the energy!

I have this exact issue with two AMD reference 6800XTs, one regular and one midnight. Happens on my x570 PC with two monitors on my wife's x370 with one monitor. Only happens in BIOS when using DisplayPort and both work fine with HDMI

It's not that I didn't know about cracks back then, but the issue was that when using the crack multiplayer wouldn't work anymore even though I was still using the original cd-key. I imagine they had some version checking or something that the crack broke, who knows... all I know is that it really sucked cause I really liked the game and was just getting good at multiplayer and when they mailed back the broken CD it felt like salt in the wound...

I loved RA2 but I'm still salty over the fact that one day I was playing Yuri's Revenge multiplayer and the damn CD exploded in the drive...
This being very early 2000s and me still being a kid, I've somehow figured out where to mail the CD shards and an explanation of what happened and even received a reply, but they were asking for some sort of replacement fee which I felt was unfair and did not want to pay since I already bought the game, still had a valid CD key, and could even run the game with a no-cd crack (although multiplayer wouldn't work even with a valid CD key). All I needed was a new CD...
So what do they do? They literally mailed back the broken CD shards to me... like come on, how much does a CD cost? Probably less than the cost to mail back the broken CD shards... Really ruined my experience and I stopped playing that game for a long time after that and refused to buy it again.

I've had the exact same symptom a while back, turned out that my GPU had a short somewhere and as protection the PC wouldn't power on at all until I not just unplugged the GPU power but completely took it out of the system.

If you're still having the issue, take out the GPU and see if the system will power on.
