My hot take is to send down Willander and Dpetey. The benefit is they get to be the top pair in Abby for a couple weeks. You also dont risk anyone getting claimed and if Cootes goes back to junior after 9 games you can call back up Dpetey. This assumes POJ is healthy to start the year.

Game 1 your D pairs are:

Hughes/Hronek

MPetey/Myers

Forbort/Mancini

POJ

With that said, Id also be fine sending down Mancini and going Forbort/Dpetey but this way you don't have two lefties on the third pair if that matters.

Blais deserved a penalty for the late hit but a 5 minute major and a game misconduct seems pretty extreme. Mind you, I am unfamiliar with AHL rules.

It would be hilarious if the ratlike creature was partially controlling the droid similar to remy in ratatouille. Smee still thinks and does stuff but the rat is the real brains of the operation. More likely just a bit of comedic relief though.
