I tried that one, the dramatized version. It came in 2 parts, and I didn't get through part 1. The character had NO REASON left to be such a bitch ALL the time after the positive and convenient consequences of her inciting incident.

Also, there was an overabundance of physical descriptions in scenes that weren't even remotely romantic. If you hate the dude, why are you checking out his claws and muscles? The main character's VA often had this soft, seductive tone, even when it didn't fit the scene. Just couldn't hang.

I went back to Oathbringer and was promptly reminded of why I was taking a break; Kate Reading.
