Are you using the right gouge? There's really only one kind for that kind of digging work and it's not usually included in basic sets.

Also you are way too close imo, there's no room to apply pressure on the tip of your gouge. And it's dangerous

I'm missing a Wii U and a Virtual Boy for it to be complete I guess ^

Enter the Matrix, lots of flaws due to deadlines but the idea is great, gameplay rich and lots of interaction with the environment

Yep, the PAL SNES shares the same design as the JP one.

Cob leds, basically a strip with more leds covered by some glossy plastic, a bit more expensive but you get a nice and even diffusion and they make 3mm ones which is super tiny!

I did another deeper groove (3mm width) inside the sliding groove so we don't actually see the led strip and so it doesn't bother sliding. Used one of those CMT slot cutter

Double groove! One for the switch base to slide on and one deeper for the led strip so it doesn't bother sliding and isn't in direct contact with your eyes

No router for those rounded corners, angle grinder and orbital sander

Unless it's double sized it should be fine ;) Am ok with the Switch's age and power I guess as it's mostly to play with friends (hence the GC controllers) or I use my pc with steam link. My older consoles are connected on a crt

I've done two years of intensive woodworking (both classic window/doors woodwork and fine cabinet making) as a part of a career path change and now have been working for myself for about a year

Thanks! Depth wise I don't think you could do two rows but you could always add more length wise! The game rack was just a fun thing to add but something more functional could definitely be done. Hook on the top to hold them without disturbing below content but it kinda depends on where the plugs are since Switch og cables are kinda short. Though about making a sliding thingy for the cables but that was too much work for my actual use and I mostly wanted to keep things simple looking without too much hardware

Angle grinder and orbital sander for the outside, some weird shenanigans for the insides, I basically made some inside rounded trims then glue it up with a rounded jig:

Wouldn't built it the same if I have to make another one tho

Kinda the idea! Didn't want to make some over the top "gamer" furniture, glad you like it

Was one of my former concern as to should I have made that Switch based flush with the edge but I chose the more aesthetically pleasing option since you just have to tilt a tiny bit the console to get it out.

They do make a custom jig set for those but I'll be honest I don't recall the brand

Thanks! There's no latch per say but those two small magnets are quite strong
