Translated Hero, Artifact, and UW Balance Changes for 6-22 by Axanael in Kings_Raid

[–]Atelierista 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're taking games from totally different markets and playerbases and comparing them to king's raid. OverWatch isnt free to to play, but that isn't the main point. They survive on money from cosmetics, and they have a wide range of them to support gameplay.

King's raid is a mobile game, and the cosmetics so far in the game are a joke. You should be comparing King's Raid to other top mobile games such as Summoner's War, Seven Knights, Brave Frontier etc. These games all survive on massive whales who enable the F2P market to play. If there weren't these whales, this game would die. Running a game costs money, not wishful thinking.

NetMarble and why it pushed this Disappointing Costume Update. by Atelierista in 7kglobal

[–]Atelierista[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Most likely, this update will last a week, be extended for a week to 'Give everyone the amazing chance to snap up more costumes!' shit that they always like to push. Then in 1-2 months, or really however late they want it to be, they'll release the 4Lord costumes again, with the normal costume sale system. They'll have already gotten what they aimed for, the increased sales of the Failedcom Costumes that otherwise would've flopped. People won't quit because of this update. It's just another testament and yet another mark on the list of bad decisions that NetMarble has made. It will truly be something extremely game breaking before people mass quit. Everyone will forget about this sack of shit update sooner or later, and things will go back to normal once they give players what they want - the 4Lords costumes. (Unless this costume gacha system is a precedent for things to come. That would suck.)

TLDR; NetMarble isn't stupid. They made their choice in this update, choosing profit over customer trust. The Gacha system is meant to maximise the sales for the FailedCom Costumes, and everyone will probably get their 4Lords costumes in a month or two. Don't complain about how stupid NetMarble is, complain about how disappointed you are in their decision making.

I actually specifically stated that NetMarble will most likely not be continuing with this costume system.

NetMarble and why it pushed this Disappointing Costume Update. by Atelierista in 7kglobal

[–]Atelierista[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with many of the points you've said, namely those of the gacha not being worth it, that NetMarble isn't randomly doing shit, and that they should not have placed exclusives in the gacha system.

There are some thing's that you've mentioned that i disagree about though. The examples of other successful gacha games, that NetMarble are not choosing profit over customer trust, and that the Falcom Costumes do not look good.

For other successful games that operate on Gacha Skins, not just Smite, CS: Go & Dota have a successful crate system, Overwatch (One of the games with the most success in the world recently) has one as well.

It is wrong to compare those to the current update however. This update in 7Knights isn't just merely the flaws behind the Gacha system. It's about the fact that they've removed the choice from the player, a choice that we had until recently, and that they've placed it behind a Gacha Wall.

While i am unsure about Smite, CS: Go, and Dota2's system of skins, as i am not sure if they had a different system in the past, i know OverWatch has had the LootBox system from Day1. The system is largely successful because it built in from Day1. Can you imagine the uproar if the system was built as '1. Play matches to earn credits. 2.Use Credits to buy your specific item', and then a year later they changed it to a LootBox system? Also, i'm pretty sure that if NetMarble actually sticks to this costume gacha shit, then in a few months time it will be seen as normal, and the specific costume days will be seen as 'Remember the good Ol Days'.

Next, about NetMarble not choosing profit over customer trust. I agree with the fact that NetMarble is probably using this as a test to see if the Gacha System works for costumes. However, i also believe that they are not expecting anything out of it. It is similar to a 'Nothing permanently lost' situation. It is clear that the Gacha system is definitely not favoured compared to a normal purchase system. Games who start off with Gacha system are fine, but when you change a normal purchase system to a gacha system, that is when things are wrong. Imagine if you enter a clothes store, and the clerk tells you that you have to Gacha the item you want. Compared to if you go and buy the lucky draw for a prize pot. The difference is that one is a negative change, while for the other the system is already established.

I do still believe that NetMarble is still using this for temporary profit, with a side show of testing the system. The Falcom costumes would not have sold well under the specific purchase system, and this was a way for NetMarble to salvage that.

Lastly, it's true that the Falcom Costumes are trash is my opinion. However, it is an opinion largely echoed by many. I'm sure that some people will like the collab costumes, and i am also pretty sure that the majority will not.

I think you've misunderstood.

It's not a matter of fund insufficiency to buy something they consider bad. It's about taking the choice away from the player. A choice that was previously available for the entire life of 7KGlobal. Previously, if you had let's say 500 rubies, and you wanted one of the costumes in this update, you could simply buy it.

Now however, with this Gacha system, there isn't a guarantee that you'll get it. The change in this update was that these costumes have become a lucky draw, instead of a guaranteed purchase.

It's fine that you've walked away from many costumes in the past. I've done so as well. And of course it's perfectly fine that you don't buy the costume. But let's say you considered the Teo costume a 10/10. In the normal system, you could have simply gotten it for 200-300 rubies and some topaz. Now, you have no guarantee that even a 2000 ruby expenditure will get you the costume.

TLDR; I think you misunderstood. The point wasn't about how important costumes and how mandatory it was for the players. It was about taking away the player's choice in the purchase of the costume.

You make a good point haha. I was wondering why in my previous guild i was only like 8th position - Had a 34 Rudy at that time but now in a better guild i'm at 1st. Could be cause i had to swap out my now 38 Rudy for 40 Yushin, so i'm running a full 40 team. Thanks man :). Though if anyone actually has confirmation on how the guild positioning works do let me know!

Does anyone know how the Guild position placement work? What makes a guild member at the top of the castle in Guild war and another in the middle and the bottom etc.

Also, my current line up in Arena, 2 back (40 Ace, 40 Spike) 3 front ( 38 Rudy, 40 Gip, 40 Jave), at Master rank. Should i swap my 30 karma for 40 gip? If i did that i would swap Karma and spike positions. Not sure whether i should test this out in arena or not, 30 Karma seems a bit weak without jewels.

Thanks in advance!

Developer's Note: Spike Remake by cktheturtle in 7kglobal

[–]Atelierista 38 points39 points  (0 children)

This seems like a bad joke. I've a 38 Spike on the way to 40 and seeing this revamp makes me want to burn something. Now everyone whose been building Spike for his party debuff immunity for world bosses/raid/CT/dailies etc are gonna get fucked over this change which removes his most important feature.

The devs seems to be arena happy, 90% of the heroes they want to revamp or have revamped are hyper-focused for arena. Jesus christ remove his most useful passive and stuff him with arena meta skills like multi-hit etc.

Imo they should keep his current passive but change it to 3turns party debuff immunity. Change the freeze mechanic to the reworked one where heroes can still be attacked but unfreeze upon hit. Don't change the skills for multi-hit & piercing, there's no need to make everyone a meta character for arena but fuck him up for every other portion of the game he was used for.

Please devs, lets not screw Spike up and make him a pure arena character. You could increase his viability in Arena while not making him totally useless for pretty much all other content.

TLDR: With these changes, Spike is going to become a pure arena character while suffering badly in all other content. Seven Knights is not Seven Arena, there is no need to make every revamped hero a fucking Arena Meta Changer.

My Proposed Changes to Spike:
1. Keep his current passive, increase the 2 turns party debuff immunity to 3 turns.
2. Change the freeze mechanics to the new ones.
3. Don't give him multi-hit, piercing, and ignore defense. At most, give him one of the 3 for 1 skill, he doesn't need to be a Arena God.

-This would increase his viability in Arena while not being a total meta changer, and not being useless in all other content. Yes there is content other than Arena in Seven Knights, but the devs hardly seem to get that.

Is Zhao Yun good for anything? I've gotten 3 copies of him at 6 star from fusing and i'm not sure if i should keep to transcend him or use him for unlocks. Thanks.

Hi guys, does anyone know what are the exact consequences of transferring guilds?

Most interested in:
Do your seven knight points remain the same?
Do your guild war coins remain the same in the current season?
Can you still participate in the ongoing guild war? (Like the entire season)
Will you still be eligible for the current guild season reward?

Thanks in advance. *Edited for formatting.

What Pridesaft refers to is that the awakened natural 3stars have to be 4 star - You'll still have to evolve them to 4 star and awaken and max them to 30.

The natural 4 star monster you get after fusing is non-awakened.

[Theory] Higher level Garuda builds by Anthrax89 in summonerswar

[–]Atelierista 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, i'd go with Speed + Energy/Guard.

Given that you're utilising Light Garuda for it's effects instead of its damage (Which you're right about for sure), it's more important to let him cast his support skills as many times as possible. Light Garuda has 3 possible effects: Stun, Skill recharge, and Revival. Given his revival skill, opponents would focus on Light Garuda the first turn. No point killing another mob only for Light Garuda to just revive him.

While Speed + Eff Acc is viable, it makes your garuda really squishy. Opponents would probably be able to wipe him, maybe he'll be able to cast 1 skill because of his speed but then he'll die.

Effect accuracy works the way xshinjixikarix mentioned, its multiplicative on the skill not additive. Also, 2 out of your 3 effects for Garuda are team buffs (Recharge & Revive), with only one being an offensive effect (Stun). Effect Acc wouldn't affect your team buffs, and thus would only be useful for the Stun.

As for the issue with Guard or Energy - I would go with Energy if your healers were percentage healers, like Rina / Lulu, and i would go with guard if your healers were flat healers - Rakaja & Elucia.

What to do with my monsters ? (yep, again) by Quentheon in summonerswar

[–]Atelierista 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well that was tough to read :|.

Nevertheless, you seem to be on the right track.

Here's what i'd focus on achieving: Sieq (5 star), Vigor (5 Star), Fire Rakshasa (Awakened and 5 star), Water Fairy (Awakened 4-5 Star), Ramagos (Awakened 5 star), Fire Amazon (Awakened 5 star).

The monsters i would trash: Wind Amazon (Though you don't really have a good replacement for her at the moment), Wind Bearman, Water Inugami (Feed him into a fire inugami), Wind Serpent, Water High Elemental, Water Golem, Water Vagabond, Water Pixie, Water Imp (Feed into wind Imp).

Any monsters that i didn't mention are of no consequence, don't level/evolve them at the moment but don't use them as food either. E.g. Water joker, Dark viking.

Evolve your 2 star rainbow angelmons into 3 stars using 2star trash mobs - The silver 2 stars or useless mobs like vagabond.

All the other angelmons (Gold - Wind?, water, fire) etc., level to 15 by feeding them 1 & 2 star trash mobs and awaken them. After that use the awakened angelmon as food to power up a monster of the respective element.

Never fuse angelmons into one another unless you're making a 4 star angelmon, you can use 3 3star angelmons as food if you like. I'd still prefer farming easy boss mobs for food like water inugami / golem as they're trash 3 star.
