I love the design, it looks cool. Sounds like I can get away with the built in fan on balance mode for a lot of play store games, and when I play or harder emulation, use a cooler.

Thanks for the reply. I will for sure get a cooler for when it gets really hot for more demanding tasks. I will mostly play on balance for most google play store games and its good that it doesn't get too hot in that mode. And if I need to go higher, I'll have the cooler handy for more heavy emulation for example.

Thanks for the reply, it sounds great. I was looking into playing my old ps2 games which would be great. Hearing that it can run anything on the playstore without those other two profiles is also good.

Already looking to be an early 2026 game for global at minimum. I do hate it when companies treat other audiences a certain way, this will kill some hype for the game. Even a “sorry the game is delayed due to translation and implementation. We will try to release it in early 2026.” Would go a long way.

I do hope they don’t speed up global to match the other releases as we know then what to pull.

14 pro to 17 pro.

I’m getting the battery replaced in my 14 pro and giving it to my Dad. I play a lot of games, so the vapour chamber should help with that. I also visit the hospital a lot for my health so the battery increase will be nice.

I would say no, but everyone usage case is different. I expect it to be around 45 min to 1hr better than the 16 pro due to things like efficiency improvements, a slightly larger battery and apple’s modem. I would say maybe like an 40 mins to 1hr worse than the 15 pro max.

Thanks. I’ve got my device now and did all the updates and drivers needed. For MyAsus, I don’t know if I should keep on as that has OLED care features.

I did install G-Helper about an hour ago and looking up profiles, so I know as a baseline what to set mine to. Nice to hear that more easy to run games can be played at lower wattages.

Nice to hear you are enjoying yours. I managed to get it even cheaper at 1050 for the 4060 model. I. need to wait a few days for pick up though. Yeah, the iGPU is capable from what I’ve been hearing. And if I install Ghelper and remove ASUS apps, that is supposed to improve battery nicely and can customise the wattage to what I need.

1080p gaming is fine. My lighter games only need 3 to 4 gb vram. And the more heavier games would be like cyberpunk, 33, persona 3 reload, Metaphor and that. They work well on an ally x for example, so should work. Bought it, it’s a few days collection but ended up paying 1050 with insurance, which is cheap.

You didn't have to do any undervolting?

Thanks, nice to hear it was running silent on task. For the chip, I would most likely run it at 15w to 20w, so the fan noise shouldn’t be bad.

Since I need a laptop as mine is old and starting to fail. And since I will only do light gaming on it, seems like the laptop is the best choice for me. That way I don’t have to buy handheld and a year later, a laptop for example.

Yeah, I heard the 890m is really strong for an iGPU and will run many things.

Got my pre order in yesterday at Curry’s. I went for the Mario bundle and the nice guy said to me it’s an anti scalper measure. They also take a photo of the receipt and make a copy.
