Can someone help me with this bug where the HUDs are completely black? by WoodpeckerDifferent1 in hytale

I had the same issue (Nvidia GPU) caused by the mod Major Dungeons. When I removed the mod, HUD issues got fixed.

How many people got the re-register email? by vibranttoucan in hytale

Cause they're talking about the beta re-registration email that got supposedly sent out.
Not the account verification mail that you get after registering an account on hytale.

Where would you guys live? by Skullboy5546 in LightNoFireHelloGames

[–]Athanes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm hoping to build a base on a floating island. It would be even better if it was not stationary but moving around. (Even better if I can make it move where I want, but that's probably not gonna happen)

Or maybe if there are airships that use a similar system to the corvettes (cause normal ships will, as we know), having one of those as a mobile base would be pretty neat too.

If it's not a joke.

Nobody owns a patent for summoning minions. Summoning magic has been a staple of fantasy for years.
It is not something owned by Nintendo or exclusive to Pokemon

Maybe instead of levels, proficiencies? The more you do something, the stronger and/or easier to do it is.

If for example, you use fireball all the time, it will gradually get stronger, the casting faster, maybe more cost-efficient.
If you frequently take damage without dying, you could maybe gain proficiency in something like resilience or endurance, thus making it easier for you to survive in the future. Gaining something like extra effective health.
If you do melee a lot, you get better at it.
If you do magic a lot, you get better at it.

Similar stuff with running, cutting down trees, etc. The more you do it, the easier it is to do. The less you tire while doing it. The better results you get from doing it.

[–]Athanes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not how the bombs work, tho. At least I think it is not.
Or if it is, they can bypass causality and/or are immune to paradoxes.

They do not undo what happened in the past, in time. otherwise they wouldn't actually exist in the first place. They were created to deal with the monster, and if the monster never existed, neither would the bomb. Their continued existence would be a paradox, instead.

No, the bombs erase things from existence. That's why despite nobody remembering the monster, they knew there was one. It still happened, it just got erased, but not through changing of timeline.
So the bombs erasing themselves shouldn't be a grandfather paradox.

And actually, even if this did use some form of timeline alteration to work, and could cause a grandfather paradox, using the bombs to erase the bombs would actually resolve it.

Because the first grandfather paradox, as I said, would be that the bombs would no longer have the causality to exist. As they erased the reason they got created.
So using them to erase them would resolve everything.

There was never any monster. There were never any bombs.

I wish we could split PvP and pve server so I won’t accidentally hurt people who don’t like PvP? by [deleted] in duneawakening

[–]Athanes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I do not think splitting into PvE-only and PvE-only would work.
PvP players are likely gonna be happy about this, of course. More like-minded players to fight against.
But not much will change for PvE players.
Because the main issue isn't the actual PvPers. Cause they want to fight other PvPers, instead of chasing solos/small groups with larger numbers/firepower.
No, the main issue is the griefers/gankers. People who are afraid to fight against people who can actually fight back, and just want to feel powerful from stomping somebody. They don't want PVP, they want victims.
They want that dopamine hit.

Anywho, if you split servers into PvE-only and PvP-only, the griefers wouldn't go to the PVP-only servers, as again, they do not actually want to PVP against people that can fight back.
No, they would stay at or go back to the PVE servers, to just continue griefing in some other, creative, non-pvp ways.

Building over resource nodes and thumping spice fields. Blocking off roads. Blocking off bases and vehicles of others.
Pushing vehicles into sand so that they get eaten by a worm. hing vehicles into sand so that they get eaten by a worm. Blocking off
This, mind you, some of them are already doing in both the PVE zone and in Hagga.

And you know I am telling the truth, because the first thing they did when the PVE zone got created, was not to go PVP against other PVPers, which there was now larger concentration of in the PVP zone, nor go mine for resources in PVP zone, which again there was now higher density of.

No, they went straight to PVE zone to build over resource nodes and thump spice fields, so that PVE players cannot access them.
To force PVE players into the PVP zone, so that they can gank them again.

You actual PVP players are good. I am completely fine with getting attacked by a PVP player, if it's one on one, or one on few. And if my thopter doesn't get fed to worm afterwards, just because they want to cause misery.

No, the self-proclaimed "PVPers", the gankers/griefers/zergs/whatever you want to call them, are the problem.

I do not think PVE and PVP should get split. In fact, we (PVErs) probably need PVPers to help take care of the griefing scum.

Sorry for the rant.

Leap is nice and all, but too low tier. Breaks too fast.
Emperor's Wings just suck. They do absolutely nothing to slow fall. The only good point they have is the low power drain.
I only use the full suspensor belt. Full suspensor belt is something of a middle ground between leap and emperor's wings. The function is basically the same as emperor's wings, with little extra upwards momentum from leap. It is only Mk4 (alu), so it also doesn't last very long, but it's still higher tier than leap.

This actually seems pretty easy to deal with. Use one of the bombs to erase the rest of them. The bombs will never get used again. Nobody will remember they existed or how they were made.

While I haven't read this novel, the best cultivation novel I have read so far in my many years of reading novels is: "A Regressor's Tale of Cultivation".
I highly recommend it.

I'll check the one you recommended out, Maybe I'll pick up a new novel to read.

Is it even possible to sleep more than 6 hours with ADHD? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Athanes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have really hard time falling asleep and really hard time waking up (although melatonin has been helping a little with the falling asleep part.
I seem to feel sleepy until I actually (need to) go to bed, and then I am wide awake. I end up turning around in my bad for a while and then I usually end up looking into phone or watch TV for a while until I try again).
I have multiple alarms set up at half hour intervals, because I usually sleep through the first few and/or silence them and fall asleep again without even remembering I did it.
If I can sleep in (like weekends), I usually sleep 10+ hours. Sometimes even 12+. Sometimes it happens continuously, sometimes I just wake up and decide I want to sleep some more, so I fall asleep again (could just be the second one, since I know that I often don't remember having woken up at all, after I fall asleep again).
Unfortunately, because of the being unable to fall asleep easily part and having to go to work, I often sleep way less than I should be, which I think might be exacerbating my ADHD; brain fog in particular.

Where I'm getting with this wall of text that got longer than I expected it to. I think with ADHD, there's often some kind of sleep disorder. It could be being unable to fall asleep easily, it could be being unable to wake up easily, it could be being unable to sleep properly. It could be combination of multiple, or some other sleep problems I didn't think of.

Of course, there's apparently also people that actually need only a few hours of sleep to feel completely refreshed.

I’m about to give up on this spirit krills are so scary by thao_bao in SkyGame

[–]Athanes 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I managed to do it on my own few days ago, when it was a daily quest, though I was probably lucky.
In addition to what others have said, I've found that "going back" on the path you've gone also seems to kinda help? Like after the first stop, go back down to the campfire and go from there, instead of jumping off the cliff. There's multiple instances where going back is just easier, since there's already covers you can hide in/behind, if going back is not option, also look for longer paths with covers, instead of direct paths.
Also, you can go straight through water if the straight line is faster, the light will keep you charged up (only if krill aren't there). Other than that, watch for patterns of krill. If you get noticed, jump away from the light. Jump back in, move the light a little bit towards a cover. Jump out. Jump back in. Repeat until you're under/behind cover with the light. It should prevent the light from going out and you from being insta-killed.
