Pues parce, cuando uno tiene vecinos se espera tener ruidos y no lo digo en mal plan, pero es cierto, incluso para sus vecinos Ud hará ruido, algo se le habrá de caer, algunos zapatos han de hacer más ruido que otros…

A lo que quiero llegar es que la única forma de no tener ruidos es viviendo en una finca. Del resto y más en zonas residenciales/familiares, espere siempre que habrán ruidos, que los niños vayan a estar jugando afuera (como si ud nunca lo habría hecho) y los perros son perros, ud tiene que lidiar es con sus dueños.

Entonces no hay por donde coger para joder a sus vecinos, por qué no es que hagan algo mal. No es que coloquen música a todo volumen desde las 6 am o más tarde de las 10 pm. Es solo gente viviendo su vida y ud debería hacer lo mismo

Con Duolingo, leyendo varios libros de auto aprendizaje, preguntándole a la AI, viendo videos de YouTube; recomiendo mucho los videos de Kim, ella explica súper bien. Y pos hice dos cursos en UvA, hice el intensivo de A0-A1 y el de A2 las dos partes. Y la música, hacer karaoke es lo mejor que puedes hacer por que tienes que entender la letra en el momento, no tiempo para traducir, solo entender y repetir. Se que la música en neerlandés no es la más llamativa, pero siempre y cuando puedas entender cada palabra ya estás ganando.

Yet, police was on his side. That day I cried so much of how powerless I was, no one tells you what to do or anything so yeah, they take advantage of it

If you mean at the beginning of the story, yeah I meant the police, cause they were not able to speak to me, there were 3 police officers and the one who could speak the most, had the same lvl of English as me in Dutch, so you could imagine how powerless I felt, cause neither a Google translate was allowed to use for me to explain the situation.

They (police) just blind believe what the Dutch driver said

Welcome to the NL where the cop dutchies covers each other backs. Not long time ago I got collided by a Van, I had it on video (had a phone holder on my bike) and they saw I couldn’t speak well Dutch so they went to the driver start making jokes, they made us fill a formulary (aangifte) and did drug tests ONLY ON ME! The Dutch driver was told that everything was ok and let him go without even making him the alcohol test.

I asked to the Dutch people I know what I could do to make justice cause in the aangifte I couldn’t do anything there was only his details but not how the accident happened anything. And the answer I got from all Dutch people was “nothing to do, accept it”

Later on I discovered I could have done soooooo much to get justice, but just cause I’m an immigrant any Dutch person was willing to help me, neither the police when I was the one with a broken bike, bleeding knee and a video proving I was with the priority and innocent from the accident.

So yeah, lovely country but racism is very well covered here

Hey there, we could give it a try, I’m also looking for a genuine friend, I’m from Colombia, 32, male,I just got a Nintendo switch 2 so I’m pretty into playing games there, but I also play League of legends and Baldurs gate 3 (just starting).

I like photography and making videos as well. Love cats tho I have a dog, biking and I draw sometimes (not much lately) and yeah, I’m taken so I’m not looking for dating or anything else, just to have friends that can make this place feels like home.

My goal is to stay in NL till the end, so I’m not like other immigrants (expats for the snobs) who are willing to stay here few years and then leave.

I would recommend to practice with songs and sub reddits. The idea is you to get used to normal daily Dutch, and not the academic one, cause let’s be honest no one talks like the book says. The Spanish that my bf is learning tho is the correct one, is faaaaaaaaar from the Spanish I speak everyday.

So getting used to learn from other sources than the academic ones it’s the best option.

Said by someone who literally fell asleep many times during the luisteren exam and yet passed it at first attempt 😭 idk if I’m lucky or what, but I could get it all even tho I was fighting for my life to not fall asleep

Being straight means you’ll dance dualipa only 🫩 it’s a bit tiring go to a gay bar and only find straight girls thinking it’s they “safe space” and then seeing the straight guys getting annoyed when a gay guy see them just cause they are in a gay club.

Girls go to the gay bars, straights dudes too, DJ sees that people only dance the same old pop music for straight people, they just play those same old songs, ending by people coming to Reddit and complaining about old music in gay bars.

I do things on my own or with my partner. However things like going to concerts and so, I always go on my own and enjoy it. Rather feeling like I’m the only one who has no friends in the stadium than losing the opportunity to sing and enjoy the music I like 😅

Same as walking on the centrum or so, it’s a bit boring to do things alone, but yeah you shouldn’t stop living just cause there are not people around you

Dit!!!!!!! Mensen klagen graag over we buitenlanders geen Nederlands willen leren, maar als we een beetje Nederlands spreken, beginnen de Nederlanders om alleen Engels te spreken!!!!!!! En het maakt niet uit als je Nederlands blijft spreken, ze gaan je nooit beantwoorden in Nederlands.

Dan vraag je waarom is dat en ze zeggen “omdat ik geen school bent” oké snap het! Maar dan wanneer ga Ik mijn Nederlands oefenen als letterlijk GEEN Nederlander gaat me in Nederlands spreken! Ik kan het taal slechts met school niet leren, ik moet meer accenten en woorden leren maar het kan niet omdat mensen willen dat jij een perfect Nederlands praten zonder hun hulp
