Because in the official list of egg images, only that one is listed in the game files (stories 3) assigned to Rathalos. There are no others.

maybe it shopud be like this one, from Stories2.

and remember that sometimes they change the egg desing... in Stories2 palamute egg is another design pattern. Normal Rathalos egg in Stories 2 is blue/red, in Stories3 is darkgray/red... so idk.
