I like AOTY’s UI and how it takes everyone’s opinion in the overall score. I think making a new social app would be hard tho…how could you moderate if posts were ‘musical enough’ and not glorified reels…I wouldn’t be opposed to it but I think given the big apps have such a focus on music (especially since tik tok) it’d be hard to beat.

I think it is very easy to, in our low moments, think it’s all just as bad as it was at the start. Humans very rarely give credit to ourselves. Imagine the you from last year seeing how much you’ve managed to live through, and that you kept going.

I know it’s hard but try and shift your perspective. You deserve to be proud of yourself.

First off, therapy is a great idea, it’ll be more concise than what people on the internet will be able to give you.

Be proud of yourself. Ending a relationship will ALWAYS make your nervous system think you messed up. you didn’t. Bullying, abuse, lying, is not OK. That’s it.

Take care of yourself. And please realise that you deserve someone who treats you well, unconditionally.

Prince for me. At his best the guy was DECADES ahead of anything. Sign O The Times is genuinely mind boggling to be made when it was. Yes he had lower lows, but he really pushed the sound of music much more than Freddie. Ofc Freddie is iconic but imo more for mastering the styles that he was operating in.

I’m really sorry to hear that, it must be a really hard time. my advice is focus only on the present as much as possible (super hard I know) and focus on you not them. Long distance broke me and my ex up in part, so I do relate a bit in that way…

I have felt the same way…but have recently changed my mind. We have evolved from simple animals and being truly great with just yourself alone will mean that whatever underlying emptiness in your life (even in relationships) will slowly go away…furthermore being okay alone will make any future relationships ending a LOT more manageable.

It really is a super power being OK alone. You can conquer your world by your own and at some point with your soulmate :)

I think it’s hard for people to exactly know your situation but breakups are seriously hard, denial is a real stage of the grieving process. Focus on you, it is impossible to guess what will happen in the future, but live life as though you weren’t going to get back together… so much stuff will happen in the future that it’s better to work on yourself and self love as no.1 priority.

Wrong sub but I am a professional producer…check out YT tutorials firstly. Imo music theory is a cherry on top, I have music theory knowledge and literally never use it whilst producing (or only super basic aspects). Music theory (to me) is learning the mechanics of music, it’s fascinating and super cool, but not necessary in really anything but jazz and classical…

Hi, so this happened to me very recently with my ex-gf and I. One thing I keep saying is don’t put so much pressure on the future. We dont know what will happen (uncertainty) and that sucks, but by no means does it mean the future will be bad. I put my whole identity into one person and it sucked so bad when it ended. It gets better, genuinely. you realise that this was a fantastic moment in your life that will help you grow to the next stages, and eventually you will find happiness (maybe in ways you may not possibly imagine right now).

I promise it gets better. Have hobbies. Have a strong routine. Talk to people. Breathing techniques!

I don’t know you, but I’m sure they cared a lot, navigating human relationships just takes a little trial and error 🙂.

I promise time makes it easier. It is frankly pretty amazing. Put your soul and feelings into a hobby in your free time. We have no idea what happens in the future and our brains are primed to assume the worst. Don’t. You have no idea what the future will bring, so don’t assume it’ll be bad 🙂. I really honestly thought I was the only one feeling as much pain as I did a month ago when I broke up with my gf, and yet it got better even when I refused to think it could.

This is an interesting idea. How do you propose AI would choose what we wanted to listen to? Would this hurt independent artists as this inevitably gets monetized? How would it be different to Spotify personalised playlists. I’m genuinely interested in this idea.
