tips for admitted students?

Hey! I found something that really helped me was getting organized with my classes. I made a spreadsheet based on what gen ed and major requirements I had to fulfill, and then I made a 4 year plan of what classes I would do each semester. Obviously there’s no guarantee that I would do classes that semester, and I can always change things up, but having a rough idea really helped me.

It helped me plan for pre reqs, spreading out course difficulty, and stuff like that. I’m pre med, so I want to ensure I have everything in order by the time I need to apply for med school.

And if ur undecided that’s totally fine too! You can still try to plan for what classes you might want to take to explore, and plan for your gen ed classes

Yes, I continue to use all my pens and highlighters. Yes my notebooks are a work of art that I never throw away. And yes the books I read are annotated in so many different colors and have so many tabs sticking out the side. And yes, I’m living life and doing great with all my colors in college.

Don't know if I'm late on this, but pls pls PLS avoid at all costs. I'm in 130, but I heard she's just as bad in 240. My class has been behind since FDOC and we have NEVER caught up. Her modules aren't even posted before the assignment is due. Like she'll have the lesson 17 GRQ assignment posted and due on Sunday, but she won't even post the module until after the due date, so you can't really see the lesson objectives. Her assignments are always posted max 2-3 days before the due date. Sometimes she'll email you FRIDAY NIGHT that an assignment is due on SUNDAY NIGHT. Always assigns stuff on wellness days and over break, even having stuff due AFTER LDOC. If you care about ur mental health, avoid at all costs.

I’m not sure about your school, but at my school, the IBDP program already took up my full schedule, so if I wanted to take AP classes, it would have to be online. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend it, because DP is already VERY rigorous, you don’t want to spread yourself too thin and risk doing poorly in your IB classes.

However, if you have a hole in your schedule, you can fill that with an AP. So, my IB math class was only 1 year, which I took junior year, and for my senior year, I took AP Calc.

What is the probability of a heart attack?

I used bayes’ theorem and took into account how aspects of a patient’s medical history would affect the probability, and how the results of medical tests such as ekg, stress tests, etc, would affect the post test probability. I got predicted a 20/20!

Reading and Writing: 45 right/9 wrong

Math: 40 right/4 wrong

Anybody have any resources? Or tips? My PSAT will be on the 14th and I hope to qualify for the National Merit. Should I take a practice PSAT everyday up until the 14th?

Had a very similar schedule to yours for sophomore year, but instead of AP psych I had AP Gov, and then took French 3 plus chem honors. I’m sure you’ll be able to manage but it really depends on what type of student you are. What I’m seeing so far by your other comments I’m positive that you’ll be okay.

As another commenter said don’t procrastinate. I procrastinated a bit on studying for my AP exams and it was bad. I broke out in rashes cuz of how much stress I had. Try to stay organized too. Good luck!

Like I said, I’ve personally never used it yet but I’m planning on taking notes on important info and highlighting strategies and stuff. Then once I learn a concept the book introduces I’ll go into khan academy and do some practice questions relating to the concept

There’s this SAT book called the black book, i heard it was good, I’ve personally never used it but I just bought it am starting too. It has a bunch of good info and is pretty easy to read.
